Reincarnation memories are genetic memory or in some cases energy transference. The energy that powers your earth body is seperate from the soul and can be reused in other beings after the body dies. Sometimes this energy retains memories, but that doesn't mean the actual you, your soul, lived a previous life.

There is also obvious demonic posession and oppression or mental illnesses/ vivid imagination and delusions of grandeur in many of the cases, especially in the cases involving multiple past lives. A lot of older new agey crystal ladies are responsible for these deceptions. They gladly open themselves up to demons masquerading as their spirit buddies and cause a lot of confusion in the world thanks to loving false light.

Domestic sheep are perfectly analogous to humans, all humans. Humans have a long vulnerable period as children and need all sorts of protection. They are dependant on massive edifice of civilization for survival. They must have socialization with positive experiences that teach them to trust or they will be hopelessly mentally ill and dysfunctional. with few instincts, they have to be taught everything they know.
