Anonymous Coward User ID: 28780850 United States 11/30/2012 11:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | welcome :) I think it is important as we start to understand that at least in our solar system there can be water nearly in every space rock (planets, moons, comets, asteroids) from the NY Times Sean C. Solomon was quoted in the New York Times as estimating the volume of the ice as large enough to "encase Washington, D.C., in a frozen block two and a half miles deep." more (and a suggestion for a colony) [link to www.nytimes.com] Cool......can we do that? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28391076 The sun is not hot. Through atmospheres and other supernatural stuff. Each planet creates its own filter to generate a climate. Is there life in our solar system...Yep. Lots of it and it is sentient and well aware of Earth...the quarentined prison school for wayward souls in need of tweaking. Jus' movin' on up in the world inch by inch... |

So that it gives a chance for other planets to become more habitable for life in other solar systems. Man I love this stuff. |

Wouldn't it stand to reason there's probably a sweet spot between the FROZEN ICE and the 400 degree equator surface temps that could actually sustain life? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17114980 Err what about the radiation?. "Traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy! " |

I spent three weeks there in blistering heat and was forced to drink room temp water and soda. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26983928 You do realize humans have the technology to make ice? All you need is a Box(of the correct material)and a source of heat,no Electricity needed what-so-ever. Anonymous Coward User ID: 28752003 Germany 11/30/2012 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Most people think the materials used to form life are special well. Thats wrong Hydrogen Oxygen and Carbon are the most common elements troughout the universe. Hydrogen and oxygen form water, hydrogen oxygen and carbon form other gases like methan and other byproducts of living organisms. Basically everything could be made of those 3 elements Oil, gas Plastics etc. are all combinations of hydrogen carbon and oxygen it´s the most abundent matter, cause of the way fusion in stars works. The more rare stuff is all after Iron cause those only can be created under special conditions like supernova explosions in nature. So if you think about it, it´s no surprise water can be found everywhere in space, and probably life can aswell where the 3 materials and a energy source is life could probably form. |
