Breaking NEW JERSEY BRIDGE COLLAPSES!! TRAIN DERAILS into the CREEK!

Obvious question, what caused the bridge to collapse? The derailment itself, or did the bridge collapse cause the derailment?

And have they ruled out terrorism yet :p?

There wasn't much talk about the infrastructure in our just concluded political campaign season which didn't surprise me. Those who run the show have moved to the east, the "far east", for their future spoils and riches leaving America as an also ran and in the dust of its' crumbling infrastructure.
When the Roman Empire was collapsing, their infrastructure wasn't well maintained either as their armies marched all over the place seizing countries in the name of empire. To distract the masses, they created bread and circuses, which in this 21st Century we could compare to the food channel and our sports obsession.

They are going to pull the train cars out of the river, but need to evacuate the schools first.

There is also a train car with ethanol.

Jersey Shore was a train wreck so this comes as no surprise.

The freight rail bridge that collapsed this morning in Paulsboro also gave way three years ago, causing the derailment of 16 coal cars.

I have seen different stories where schools are put in lockdown for a criminal suspect in an area, this derailment and a few other reasons. I don't understand how a lockdown can include keeping parents from picking up their children. For this situation, maybe I would feel better if my children were with me and not at a school that is within a mile of this derailment. I would want to drive them to a area further away from being exposed to these chemicals. Exactly how do they keep you from getting your children! Wonder if most parents know how the lockdown works for their children's school.

Thankfully my children are now in high school, and the older one drives them both. I have told them, if there is ever some type of lockdown situation, we will be in contact and determine if they should leave. And if WE decide they should leave I will go to the school and get them. Told them when they were in elementary school that if I wanted to pick them up and I was told, no by some admin., they could look for me to be driving through the front doors to get them!! I am far from a non-conforming badazz! I would be dressed nicely for work in a skirt and heels, but I would have no problem finding a way to get my children. What would happen to children in a lockdown situation if there was another 9/11, or worse? I would not comply to this Nazi crap!

Man, between the neverending sewage leak from Sandy & now this, NJ is really getting pummeled.

Remember the Kentucky train derailment last month?
We never heard an explanation for how or why that happened, nor did we hear where the toxic chemicals were taken after clean up.
Now this. The ground is unstable. Bridges, roads and train tracks are failing.
The NJ authorities should call the Kentucky authorities for their expertise in this area.

Bridge collapse for no reason -?

I used to live 3 miles from there 5 yrs. ago. Now Im 20 miles. Also please note that if you listened, these tankers are built like tanks and this was a LOW speed incident, just the seals on top are leaking very MINOR amounts and YES that is just fog, there aren't even dead fish. DOOM on DOOMTARDS.

I has been less than 2 hours or so. How long does it take for fish to die and float?
Point is, these things never get better in the hours afterward . THey usually get worse. It takes days for all to be cleaned up.
