Many of the stories do not add up to be totally 100% historically correct. It doesn't mean that these never happened but they were embellished as to never allow the a lie get in the way of a good story. "Offer me money, offer me power... I don't care." |

So the angels didn't "sing" in the fields. It doesn't change the reality of Christ - THE LORD OF LORDS - coming to earth (December? September? April? It does NOT matter when!), and lived a sinless life to redeem mankind from this sin-filled earth, buy him BACK for God, defeat death and hell, and bring him back to heaven's rewards. |

Quoting: Bo Intelson 1106192 I respect you, sir, but I got me a BIGGER fish!!! Peace. Malta, did you start another thread, or mention something in another thread similar to this? I think it was you that made me think of posting this. |

Did you really think the Pope would debunk Jesus himself? |

I have been trying to answer this question about SIN. If Jesus had not sinned, then why did he get baptised? Why did he need to die in baptisim in order to be pure once again. Anonymous Coward User ID: 21363812 Canada 12/06/2012 06:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a Steve Quayle interview with Tom Horn and Chris Putnam - Feb 22, 2012 - talking about Vatican Observation Directors (Astrologers) circulating printed information, and they're quoting documents about a soon-anticipated Alien visitation whereby people (Christians in particular) will rethink and most likely alter their beliefs based on the new information that these Aliens will tell us about God. This is the link to the video interview which is now "private" - [link to www.youtube.com] - go figure! I remember in March 2012, I was trying to find more information about these 'documents' as the premise seemed to be one of a Vatican attempt to alter established religious theology via aliens.... This thread just brought that interview to mind. Kismet |

Quoting: Septenary Man (CNN) -- It's Christmas, but not as you know it: a new book released this week by Pope Benedict XVI looks at the early life of Jesus -- and debunks several myths about how the Nativity unfolded. Quoting: [link to www.cnn.com] In "Jesus of Nazareth -- The Infancy Narratives," the pope says the Christian calendar is actually based on a blunder by a sixth century monk, who Benedict says was several years off in his calculation of Jesus' birth date. According to the pope's research, there is also no evidence in the Gospels that the cattle and other animals traditionally pictured gathered around the manger were actually present. He also debunks the claim that angels sang at the birth, a staple theme of Christmas carols. The book, which is being published in multiple languages in time for Christmas, is the third in a series by the pontiff. The previous two volumes dealt with Jesus' adult life and his public ministry. Alessandro Speciale, Vatican correspondent for the Religion News Service, told CNN the pope was not so much aiming to debunk myths as trying to show that the Jesus depicted in the Gospels is a real historical figure, who walked on earth and talked to people like anyone else. The pope also looks at scholarly studies of the Bible, some of which have indicated for decades that the traditionally accepted birth date for Jesus is wrong, Speciale said. The papacy (aka rome who killed Jesus) is probably the last person I would recommend anyone person get any information about Christianity. In fact the Papacy (Catholic Church) is literally anti-christ. |

Moreover, the Pope continued, “I cannot construct my personal faith in a private dialogue with Jesus, because faith is given to me by God through a believing community which is the Church.” He reminded his audience of the words of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “Believing is an ecclesial act. The Church's faith precedes, engenders, supports and nourishes our faith.” ... [link to www.catholicculture.org] |
