Just read this in the imao.us comments:

"You may say I’m a dreamer…
but I’m not the only one…
I hope one day you will join us…
and nobody will ever again be even the slightest bit tempted to be a commie.
Ever."

Did you see that NYTimes article about abandoning the Constitution? We should seriously build this thing, even if at a smaller scale.

Start one of those White House petitions!

All Congresspeople should be branded - not tattooed, branded - with the Bill of Rights.

Cheaper & probably more effective than a monument. You could put it on Pay-per-View!

Yes, build it out of the bones of all those politicians who have defiled it.

Wouldn't a memorial be more appropriate?

I don't think a "memorial" would be appropriate because "violated" does not equal "dead".

The Bill of Rights needs to be recognized, triumphed, and enforced.

Re: Should we build a monument to the Bill of Rights?
I like this idea:

www.nukingpolitics.com/2012/12/into-light.html

Excerpts:

"I’m also willing to predict that Liberals will have much the same reaction to sunlight filtered through the Bill of Rights as vampires do to unfiltered sunlight so, you know, 'win-win'."

"...for the bulk of every morning the only sunlight to fall upon the Capitol will be that which shines through the Bill of Rights."

Talk about monolithic!

Eh, you must have some serious issues. But nonetheless, everyone's welcome to play!

Judging from the gargantuan proportions in the article (which I don't have open at the moment so I can't site them exactly) I'm guessing it would take more dynamite than you could fit in an 18-wheeler to do much more than dent the thing.

We both know it will never be built (I'd LOVE to be wrong about that!), but if it WAS, then it would be about an entire city block thick (I remember it saying 365 point something feet to tie into the length of a year) of whatever it was built from (stone, reinforced concrete, something along those lines).

You'd have to go the serious fusion bomb route unless you'd be satisfied just making a ding. And good luck with that...

Build a monument to the Bill of Rights?

How about building a defensible position in which to enliven them?
Overstand, this isn't a sermon from the hill, but a 'Trespassers Will Be Shot' Sign.

Well yes, but that should be built over in Gettysburg.

I understood the artistic point of the BoR monument was to block out the sun except for the light coming through the text, every morning.

But big monuments to critical foundational (or in the GA's case "historical") documents is an idea worth pursuing.

We certainly waste money on far stupider projects...

Monument as a gun? Cool! But they need to bring back Riflery clubs & shooting teams to public high schools. No, I'm not kidding.

I think the monument as a gun would have a cantilever problem, but IMHO shooting clubs in schools would be a good thing. A quick Google search leads me to believe there's still quite a lot of private schools that have them. I have no idea about public schools although my guess would be "no" given the state of schools today.
