This advice will work for anyone willing to try it. Sadly, I have come to realize that some people are totally unwilling, or possibly cannot "walk a mile in another's shoes".

This last several posts have DEMONSTRATED how we should all practice being less self-centered. We could all apologize for getting angry. We could stop using angry, F- words.
It seems to me that someone started hurling insults at another for contributing to the thread. Personal attacks are very selfish on the part of those who make them. Verbal wars are uncalled for when the subject is how to be less self-centered. Kind of ironic that this thread turned into a free for all

Whether you get a KJV or New American Standard, when you have questions about the original meaning, get yourself an interlinear and see what the original language said, when there is doubt. KJV has translation errors, but then most versions do....after you really start digging in the Scriptures, then learn to check out the original meanings, as you will have questions about what was originally said or written.

When we do something compulsively, it is coming from some kind of fear, which is a sign of an absence of faith. Becoming less self centered involves relinquishing pride.
Pride makes us want to always have the last word.
We can all be less self centered by not always havng the last word; it's something we all have to work on. If we allow Jesus to be the force in our lives, then we can back away from angry situations.

Very bad advice. You do not have a child in 2012 just to prove that you're less self-centered.

The answer to your question depends on exactly what you mean by "less self centered" . . .

Are you mean and spoiled?

Do you intentionally cause trouble?

Do you engage in hateful/hurtful/harmful actions?

Do you just basically mind your own business and keep to yourself?

How do you feel about other people?

What are your emotions concerning animals and nature?

Do you respect the planet?

Are you productive and creative?

Are you an empath?

Take facts as insult's. I am self centered and that is why i made this thread. I do not want to be this way anymore so i thought i would get glp input on this subject and i am sure there are others struggling with this also. It's the holidays and someone people are going to get and not give and i have been one of these people. I need some good advice not some raciest baiting troll derailing my thread about killing millions in genocide. You sir are a fucking idiot.
