Those have been banned for a long time. Many cities just ignore the rules and leave them up anyways.

The Un wants to do alot of stuff but that does not mean it will ever happen.

You people sit and bitch and complain about the UN all the time around here but I'll just bet none of you have ever sat down and written a letter or sent an email protesting anything to anyone. You can hope for things to change or you can put words into action. Most people do nothing about anything and just hope for the best.

We adopted our last child and there are plenty of folks who would like these babies. It's totally barbaric to even think of killing anyone when there are so many who can't have children who are willing to take the unwanted ones. The biggest problem in this whole process is the expense involved in adopting. Many more would adopt if it wasn't so costly to do so. For years adopting parents fly all over the world to get a baby from another country. Adopting is a good thing and something that brought us great joy. We can't imagine our lives without our adopted child - other then dull. Children enrich our lives and we were very grateful to the mother who gave us her baby to be our own.

However, the real issue and what is most disturbing is the power the UN is accumulating to where it seems to think it should tell other sovereign nations what to do. I find this deplorable and totally outlandish. Who do they think they are? The world police?

well to me that is a twisted way of thinking. but just because I get educated, and I understand the whole biological process step by step of a life being formed from the time of conception to the point of giving birth, that wouldn't mean I won't see God behind this process anymore

Check it out. From your remarks, you will be greatly surprised to learn of the actual fetal development that occurs very early on in pregnancy.

I don't think these baby boxes are "incubators" which has some form of life support to it.

They are just plain containers to receive the infant.

Let me guess, you probably believe in evolution too. Evolution that claims life "sprang from a primordial soup" of enzymes. Enzymes with LESS LIFE than this "bundle of cells" you would throw in the garbage.

If we found the EXACT same "bundle of cells" under a rock on Mars people would scream from the top of their lungs "we've found life on another planet". Yet here we are throwing them in the garbage can because it interferes with sleeping around and actually having to take responsibility for one's actions.

It's almost surreal. I certainly didn't wake up with the expectation of debating eugenics in several threads, which incidentally, I'm extraordinarily sensitive to. Meanwhile, I'm curious to know if the same people who apparently have little regard for human life smile the same way when their own mortality is no less at risk from day to day.

Fetal Development
From conception to birth

Day 1: fertilization: all human chromosomes are present; unique human life begins.

Week 12: The baby has all of the parts necessary to experience pain, including nerves, spinal cord, and thalamus. Vocal cords are complete. The baby can suck its thumb.

Week 14: At this age, the heart pumps several quarts of blood through the body every day.

Week 15: The baby has an adult's taste buds.

Month 4: Bone Marrow is now beginning to form. The heart is pumping 25 quarts of blood a day. By the end of month 4 the baby will be 8-10 inches in length and will weigh up to half a pound.
Week 17: The baby can have dream (REM) sleep.

Week 19: Babies can routinely be saved at 21 to 22 weeks after fertilization, and sometimes they can be saved even younger.

Week 20: The earliest stage at which Partial birth abortions are performed. At 20 weeks the baby recognizes its' mothers voice.

It's a fact that in many nations, including the US, Canada, and parts of Europe, abortions are available through the entire pregnancy, even for healthy unborn babies.

It's also a fact that there are tens of millions of families who are sitting on waiting lists, sometimes for years, hoping to get a chance to adopt a newborn. There are hundreds of millions of others couples that would jump at the chance of adopting a baby. But don't have the tens of thousands of dollars for the governmental fees, and don't want to take away the only hope that an infertile couple has to a baby.

Save a life by not starting one.
