Originally, Jacob wrestled with God and received the name of "Israel", along with a limp and a new perspective, through which he was able to see God in the face of his enemies. Only those loyal to Christ, the King of Israel, are legal Israelites. The nation currently calling itself "Israel" is a faction of usurpers attempting to take the kingdom by force and deception. Jesus says we'll know them by their fruit, so we might want to assess whether we've seen this faux-Israel even attempt to meet the directives given them in the Sermon on the Mount. 64 years is a pretty long window. |

The Old Testament gives a continuing saga of how the Israelis repeatedly turn away from the Lord, and when they repent, the Lord restores them to their land and their prosperity. Ultimately, they will repent, and for His glory, not because they have been perfect, sinless people, but because He is glorified; He keeps His promises, no matter how sinful people become. Ultimately they will repent and be restored and will possess their land forever! Israelis still have a lot of destruction and war to endure, but ultimately, they will possess the land, forever, because God says so. |

There are faux "palestinians" trying to take the kingdom by force and deception. But there are Israelis in the land...genuine Israelis...like Netanyahu! Jesus says we will know His followers (now called Christians.... he was referring to authentic christians, authentic followers) by their fruits. God tells us that we would see Israel (Jews) return to their land for one example: Isaiah 60:beginning verse 8 "Who are these who fly like a cloud and like the doves to their lattices (return in airplanes, 9 Surely the coastlands will wait for Me and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar... they will come by boat.. They will come crawling, limping, bleeding back to The Land, they have already and they are continuing to go back to their land. They have not repented yet.... so many of them still do not know Jesus the King of Israel as their Savior but they will. Ezekiel describes, Chapter 36, how the desolate land of Israel will be restored, Chapter 37, explains that the whole house of Israel, hopelessly scattered...returns to its land... Chjapter 37 has been fulfilled. Israel was a dead land for almost 2,000 years, but the bones came together and the sinews and the flesh were put upon them. The people were regathered into a nation, and they are still returning. They as a whole are spiritually dead although physically restored, and the restoring of the grace of God is yet to occur fullscale. God will use Israel to reestablish His kingdom here on earth, and has chosen Israel, through them to reveal Himself to the world. There is a differnce between what Dod is doing through Israel and what Israel is trying to do with or without God. In Chapter 38, the last attack upon Israel, Russia dn probably Iran and their allies invade Israel....will be met by heavenly forces... This will probably happen right after the rapture (and I hope so!)... there is silence about exactly when the rapture occurs. (No man knows the day or hour)... This battle will happen before Israel's spiritual rebirth. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8788578 Only those loyal to Christ, the King of Israel, are legal Israelites. 64 years is a pretty long window. since the return of the jews to isreal, the land has yeilded huge amount of fruits! it hasnt done the same for the arabs! israel was the biggest exporter of grape fruits in the world!!!!!! that was before we sold our techs to spain |

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." "the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men." |

It is Babylon which will be destroyed in "one hour" If you consider Damascus as being that city which the whole world does commerce with including "the souls of men", you would be correct; but it is not Damascus which DOES become a ruinous heap and ceases to become a city. It is Rome that becomes destroyed in one hour. The Roman Catholic Church has the largest portfolio of stocks in the world. No other church (or organization) can be said to do business with the entire world including its delicacies. "for by thy sorceries were all the nations deceived"; "And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." Rev. 19 23,24. Chapter 18 identifies that "great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls" as the great city Babylon. "In one hour, so great riches come to nought.....and shall be found no more at all." The fine linen alludes to the linen that was worn by the "high priest" in Israel and implies that these are also "priests", but not priests of God. White linen is given to the Lamb's bride for it represents the righteousness of the saints. Context makes all the difference in the world. The TRUTH is stranger than FICTION. |
