*HEISENBERG* (OP) User ID: 28152425 United States 12/11/2012 06:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Walking Dead SUCKS! Quoting: Person445 by Russell Scott Chances are if you're a fan of zombie films and The Walking Dead, you already think I'm an asshole. But please hear me out, as I'm one of you! I was bitten by the zombie fairy some time ago. It may have started with The Return of the Living Dead somewhere between Linnea Quigley’s (aka Trash, the pink-haired punk-rockette,) nude scene, that puts Jamie Lee Curtis' flashing in Trading Places to shame and to no lesser extent, Thriller by Michael Jackson. This was the golden era of zombie cinema. [link to www.westcoasttruth.com] The Walking Dead doesn't suck just because it isn't the flesh-ripping fan fest you want it to be. The big theme of The Walking Dead is survival and the behavior of desperate peoples. yeah the problem is that thier survival tactics and behavior is all assinine and retarded. NOBODY in rick's crew would live past a week if the ZA happened. they are just too stoopid. TWD is what happens when a no-nothing city boy writes a post SHTF story. -he doesnt know weapons -he doesnt know any survival related anything -he just doesnt know shit and it shows in TWD A lot of talkin but no examples... |

If the viewers of the show think the governor is bad, wait till they find out who Negan is. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28822130 Ma....ma.....ma.....MAGGIE?! b Negan reminds me of Pope from Sons of Anarchy. They both killed off one of the best characters from their respective stories (Negan killing Glenn, Pope pretty much having someone else kill Opie) and while they are immediately hateable, the reader forgets.... Tig killed Popes daughter. Rick and co. killed dozens of Negans men. The retaliation that Pope and Negan both administer to their rival factions (the Sons / Ricks group) was SMALL and INCONSEQUENTIAL in comparison to the chaos they themselves caused. And yet because we've been with Glenn for 100 issues...because we've been a fan of Opie for 4 full seasons and 3 episodes....we don't stop to think "Hey, they kind of let them off EASY there, all facts considered." I kind of LIKE Negan, he's a funny bastard. I RAGED when I first read that comic, but Negan is still a cheeky cunt that I enjoy reading. I like him more than the Governor, who I feel was way more twisted, and killed people without reason. Same thing happened in Sons - Opie was my favorite character, but I still ended up kind of liking Pope, even though I wanted to see Jax rip his throat out, I still enjoyed his character. But that season finale Pope / Jax / Tig scene was definitely the most intense they've had on the show since Season 3 when Samcro was freaking out on Jax for "Ratting," then when they're getting carted away they all start laughing like cheeky cunts because they were ALL in on it. |

I hear ya, but even though Rick killed his men, they didn't give him a choice. They were going to rob him. As for Negan, I think he is faaar more brutal and darker than the Gov. The things Negan was saying, the humiliation he put them through. Threatened to run a train on carl. He seems very sadistic to me. But I do get your points tho. Just my opinion. |

I don't think Negan would literally have his people running a train on Carl. At least I hope not, considering where the last issue ended.... I was ALMOST more upset about Abraham dying than Glenn, too. Abraham was one of my favorites, and kind of like Tyreese 2.0 |

He was very useful and pulled his own weight. Eugene is getting creepy(er), but his plan for making bullets will come in handy. Do you buy them per issue? Each individual one? I get em in the volumes, they have 6 issues per. It would be expensive to buy them per issue. |

DC published the series FLASH POINT where we see the devastation of UK by a Tsunami and a armaggedon battle between Atlantis and the Amazons. Aquaman, using a machine, made a mega earthquake. All of this in an orwellian world MARVEL published FEAR ITSELF where we see the devastation of NY City by Red Skull´s daughter and a armaggedon battle of gods. Then published AVX where a cosmic force the Phoenix reshape the world without permission of the Avengers and battle that follows destroys Wakanda in a tsunami made by Namor. DARK HORSE is publishing THE MASSIVE with a scientific focus we see the world after a social-economic-ecologic crash. This is for mature readers, we see possible situations post-war, post-crash, post-disaster, post-everything world, here the world ended as we knew it. BOOM is publishing PLANET OF THE APES CATACLYSM based on the film BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES, where we see that the H BOMB is god and the humans destroy the moon to get rid of the apes. Their city is bombarded by meteorites. IDW published ZOMBIE WAR where the zombies are intelligent and want the humans to breed and secure the feed. After december 21 maybe we will return to classic comics and the time of WD and apocalyptic comics boom will be over. with tears streaming down my face. You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. |

Why the hell would December 21st passing without so much as an insignificant grenade explosion render apocalyptic fiction dated? Apocalyptic fiction is the MOST ENTERTAINING form of horror culture. My favorite kinds of movies are apocalyptic based, in particular zombies. I agree it will fizzle out a bit, and we won't see nearly as much apocalyptic movies, but since the dawn of time man has contemplated the end of times. This won't change when 2012 fails. The Ministry of Propaganda probably have a brand, shiny new false-flag ready to unleashing on the unsuspecting masses after 2012 passes like a fart in the night. |
