I've read that in 1927, Congress renewed the leasehold from a 99-year lease to one of perpetuity only to be stopped if Congress votes to dissolve it, and from what I've read, its still going strong.

Most think it's a GOVT agency, so, since when does a GA need to renew a charter?

It most likely will be business as usual, with all the trimmings this Christmas with many more unhappy ones to come.

Sadly, it doesn't need to be renewed.

It was set up in 1913 with each individual Federal Reserve Bank having a 20 year charter.

However Congress passed the Pepper McFadden Bill in 1927 giving the banks perpetual charter. The system can only come to an end as a result of an act of Congress.

It really pisses me off every time I think about how inept and corrupt our government has become.
