What do you mean I want to believe? I believe in a Creator, and I contemplated on that all my life and realized that all religions are man-made and not inspired by God/Creator. Are you going to tell me that my faith/beliefs are not real unless they adhere to an organized man-made religion???

P.S. you really should think about your choice of words when you encourage others to believe they will/could 'lose their soul' if they do not believe as you. In my eyes that is a form of spiritual warfare and seeking to elicit that type of emotional response / energy in others is not advised. That tactic of using fear to win support has been practiced by the churches for thousands of years and is an insult to 'God'/Creator. True learning and understanding originates from the HEART and fear is not an emotion of the heart, it is solely an emotion of the brain/mind.

I'm glad you posted this. I've been a believer for decades, and have TRIED to get other believers to see this. Most Christians think that the bible teaches "eternal torment", but that is NOT true. The bible teaches that the wicked are DESTROYED (in the Lake of Fire), but are not given eternal life in torment there.

The wages of sin is DEATH. Not eternal life in torment.

They shall be as if they never were.

We can see that Buddha said:

The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.

We can see the prophet Muhammad said

Feed the hungry and visit a sick person, and free the captive, if he be unjustly confined. Assist any person oppressed, whether Muslim or non-Muslim.

What a judgment you just passed.

Our Creator gave each and every one of us free will. We can choose good or evil. The choice is ours. GOD is there waiting for us to call on him - and once we make the least bit of effort to do so - he will reach out and help. He will send his Angels if need be to protect you from the clutches of the Evil One.

Then on top of that - we live in a nation that give us a constitutional guarantee of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Both concepts quite different and unique compared to the way most countries are formed today.

Look at the various countries with "Radical Muslim" religious leadership. In those countries you can be killed for not being a Muslim. You can be whipped or imprisoned for not speaking well of the Muslim Leaders or their "Prophet". And sadly the Muslims are not the only nation that has confused and muddled their religious beliefs with their Government resulting in a National Religion that, if not followed, can result in execution, torture, prison, or if you're lucky - merely deportation, of those who do not follow the officially approved religion of the land.

We have these amazing and unique freedoms - free will given us by our Creator and Freedom of Speech and Freedom on Religion given us by our constitution and then look what some of us choose to do with those freedoms: Some group of hate-filled atheists chooses to spend tens of thousands of dollars, or more, on erecting a billboard in Times Square which insults the entire belief system of all Christians. They take their own time and money and use it for something so inherently insulting and unkind. What a waste of money. What a waste of human energy and thought.

Some have said that we're in the last days. The time the bible calls "The Tribulation" and then the "Great Tribulation". Yes, I believe we stand at the beginning of the tribulation period. Whether we are at the first 3.5 years of it or at the beginning of the 2nd 3.5 years known as "the great tribulation" that ends with the greatest war ever seen on the planet and the return of Christ to Earth is the ONLY thing that stops the planet from being totally destroyed - I do not know. But we are at one or the other and this wretched billboard in Times Square, along with other signs and markers both on the earth and in the heavens, has made that fact unquestionable real for anyone who opens their eyes.

In the bible in Genesis 1, vs 14, we are told that:

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

As for the Mayan calendar and the projected alignment with the center of the galaxy that happens 12/21/2012 - given that this is a conjunction of earth, our sun, other planets and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy that has not happened in 26,000 years - I would say that could qualify as a "sign" in the heavens - a major one as a matter of fact. Prophets of old taught that the more infrequent or rare a conjunction in the heavens was the more important it was. If that is so, then this 12/21/2012 alignment must portend a great thing happening or about to happen. A very major event indeed!
