WHY WHY WHY IS the idea of ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT SO BAD?

Great question, and a difficult one to explain because of the media spin. On the surface the idea of the planet coming together for the good of mankind sounds like a utopian dream. The problem is that the reality of this would be a nightmare.

In our current situation there are countless examples of how we are being lied to, and are being manipulated in to giving up freedoms previous generation worked hard at securing. The opposition to one world government is not about creating a lawless, road warrior world, it is to avoid one.

I will use Canada as an example. Not so long ago Canada had a reputation for peace. Lately our federal government has been in contempt of parliament, stolen elections, tortured detainees (and prorogued parliament to avoid scrutiny twice), waged an illegal war against Libya, deregulated the protection of our fresh water, staged a G20 event that presented to the public the idea that we were being protected from antichrists, ( but it turned out the RCMP were dressed as "black bloc" and the police were only beating and detaining peaceful protesters who threatened to stop the war machine), just for starters.

The Ontario Provincial government also has shut down the government to avoid the legal repercussions of their actions, (ORNGE, G20, energy reform, and so on) they are involved in several scandals and the premier having just won an election has stepped down and closed the legislator to avoid debate.

Toronto's mayor has been removed from office for breaking the rules, mayors all over Quebec have been dropping like flies because of their involvement in corruption.

Every level of government here is in distress. Many people of Canada are just like you, comfortable, happy, content. They couldn't care less about politics and assume anyone who would challenge the status quo must be a lawless anarchist. It can't happen to me!

The average person does not understand how much we have been manipulated. Media is everywhere telling us the world is being saved by our leaders, when in reality our leaders are working for huge corporations that are owned by a few wealthy elite. The new masters of the universe are constantly trying to change the rules to suit their agenda and avoid legal repercussions for their immoral actions. Former checks and balances are gone (government regulates corporations, media scrutinizes government).

The military industrial complex makes money on war. Secret agents from all over the world, and private military organizations are destabilizing the middle east to give us pretext to invade thus sparking WW3, (China and the Soviets will not tolerate the invasion of Iran). If this happens our already corrupt leaders will not hesitate to strip us of all comforts for the war effort. If the result is a one world government, it is not likely do be democratic. More likely an open dictatorship will take form. The corporate masters care for profit, power and control. So the squeeze will be on to cut back, ration, and obey.

Kill your fellow man? Stealing is mandatory because no one has enough. No justice because leadership is corrupt, who do you call when the police kick in your door acting on orders from your leaders? The fight is on for the rule of law not the abolition of it. We should exist in harmony with the hole world but with our own separate cultures and customs. As long as they don't interfere with our neighbours customs and freedoms, real peace is possible, but not through wars. The marketing is very effective: to have peace we must wage war, to protect your freedoms we must take them away. It can happen so gradually that future generations may not know what peace and freedom was.

OP, you are either a government shill or one of the most simple minded people who have posted here.

The matrix you reference is pretty much what they have in mind for you, and it is probably where you belong.

I'm with you OP...in fact, I think we need a one-world language. Think about it...if we start teaching kids in 1st grade-8th a new language (they have to learn one anyways) you'd have an entire generation of people able to communicate without translators...on top of that, even if you're from another country, its going to give you a sense of comfort and relation to people from other places....less fear, less mistrust, more brotherhood...etc...
But I was told I was the Anti-Christ for saying that. Really? Crazy...

Sigh. This is why we are destined for the tyranny of a one world government. It's the not government. That is the big lie you have been fed. The problem is the people willingly being enslaved.

Government will do what government does. Grow and assume control and greater power. No matter how benign. We are the gatekeepers who were suppose to hold back the power grabbers and we failed. Wag a steak in front of a hungry dog and he will bite it. Give power to the government and they will take it. How did this happen? Division.

See, people don't want small government. They want big government that THEY are in charge of. Somebody loses their freedom of religion? of speech? the right to own a gun? Who cares as long as its someone elses freedom is being taken away and not ours. Freedoms we disagree with. Until in the end, ALL our freedom is gone.

the Government does a shitty job running things on a national level. the states have there act together much more so then the Government..

GREAT point - there are ZERO unsolved murders in the world. EVERY person who commits a murder goes to jail forever. Just look at OJ Simpson as an example of someone who murdered and went to jail for life.
