Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
Started yesterday, now cats that have known each other since birth and never be fought, they are fighting all the time. It's intense too, we are having to keep certain cats in separate rooms to calm the aggression.

Anyone elses animals acting CRAZY lately?

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
All it takes is some small event to cause a chain reaction. Cats are sensitive to you and each other. Can be funny at times.
A few weeks ago one of my cats came running into the kitchen at a high rate of speed, slipping on the floor, causing all kinds of noise. (This was in play) Which scared a couple of them laying on the floor. Everyone got scared. Bumping and hissing at each other. So the word got out that their is a monster in the house, and its going to get everyone of them. In the end all five where freaking out. Taking it out on each other..... Calmed down after awhile. lol
Don't separate them. You are only feeding the fear. They will sort it out :)

I also have noticed changes in animals. My dog has been putting up a fuss now for the past 3 days. My cat wont leave anyone alone, and actually tried to come in the house yesterday 5 times. He has always been an outside cat so I have to wonder what is up with that. Then the roosters have started crowing over the past week at 11:30 at night. No reason for it. I go outside and look around and all of the roosters in the neighborhood are crowing, but no lights any place. Then my hens stopped laying last week, it was the strangest thing, they always lay eggs but now not a single egg from them.

OP-- which state are you in?

Perhaps they're beaming an 11.3 HERTZ extremely low microwave frequency at your location--- this causes rage and violent behavior in many mammals-- including humans.

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
Now that's weird. I was just going to ask if anyone's cats were acting strange, and up pops this post!

My little black Sparkie cat has a routine, she comes in the back door for lunch, has a wash and a sleep on my son's bed, then goes out the front door.

Not today. In the back door much later than usual, walks straight past her food, and goes straight out the front door.
Ten minutes later, she's back at the back door, goes straight past her food, and jumps up into her special hiding place she normally only goes to when she's frightened.

Cat is definitely freaked out.

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
A few nights ago I had to run to Winn Dixie, it was dusk, and not quite dark yet. I decided to park on the side of rather than in front of Winn Dixie because the lots were full in the front.

AS I climbed out of my car I was shocked and spooked to see like 30 cats all sitting in an almost circle all staged about 10 feet from each other. They were like sentries watching and waiting for something. I swear the hair on the back of my neck stood up , the air was filled with an weird vibe..

Just sharing the weird experience..

My cat is fine, an idiot as usual. I feed him at the front door yet the tard runs in the garage every time we come home.. I've had him since he was 2 weeks old, this is his first year as outside cat and he's done quite well. He's still a tard though..my tard.

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
We have both coyotes and Foxes coming into our yard right up to our deck on a daily basis in the last few weeks. What is really strange about this is what is going on between one of my cats and my dog, my dog will be asleep under my chair in the kitchen and my cat will come running out from our sun room up to my dog and wake him up, then run back to the sun room with my dog running after her. Then my dog goes nuts barking and growling looking out the window, while the cat sits on the table looking outside too. Sure enough it's either a coyote or a fox right there outside in the yard.

My cat tells my dog when they come!!! It's unreal to see this and I just figured it out last night. Before last night I just heard my dog freaking out and went to look and saw my cat and him in the sun room together. Last night I saw her come and get him. blink

Dude, they're CATS. Cats are crazy by default.

I have a cat and he's his usual self.
People need to just chill out.
Nothing is going to happen.

The world will be just fine on Friday.
