Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
Started yesterday, now cats that have known each other since birth and never be fought, they are fighting all the time. It's intense too, we are having to keep certain cats in separate rooms to calm the aggression.

Anyone elses animals acting CRAZY lately?

Interesting.

I only have 1 cat right now, but he has been meowing constantly now even after he gets fed. He also has been sleeping more often than usual.

OP and other weird cat people...have you had that bizarre fog during any of this animal behaviour?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30107351

What bizarre fog are you talking about?

I thought cats might be acting crazy because they live with crazy toxoplasmose infested cat people. That's all.

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
All it takes is some small event to cause a chain reaction. Cats are sensitive to you and each other. Can be funny at times.
A few weeks ago one of my cats came running into the kitchen at a high rate of speed, slipping on the floor, causing all kinds of noise. (This was in play) Which scared a couple of them laying on the floor. Everyone got scared. Bumping and hissing at each other. So the word got out that their is a monster in the house, and its going to get everyone of them. In the end all five where freaking out. Taking it out on each other..... Calmed down after awhile. lol
Don't separate them. You are only feeding the fear. They will sort it out :)

That is a retarded question. Of course many people from all around the world at any given time, have animals acting crazy. So if someone's dog in London acting extra hyper, and someone's parrot in Cuba is acting weird and someone's cat in California is scratching up the house.....so?

What are you getting at? That it spells doom? That you were the foreteller of impending disaster?

If something happens thousands of miles away from you, do you go, "Aha! See I knew it, my cats were acting crazy! They must have predicted that earthquake 4,000 miles away in another country!"

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
Now that's weird. I was just going to ask if anyone's cats were acting strange, and up pops this post!

My little black Sparkie cat has a routine, she comes in the back door for lunch, has a wash and a sleep on my son's bed, then goes out the front door.

Not today. In the back door much later than usual, walks straight past her food, and goes straight out the front door.
Ten minutes later, she's back at the back door, goes straight past her food, and jumps up into her special hiding place she normally only goes to when she's frightened.

Cat is definitely freaked out.

Weve got 2 cats male and female. Ones in most of the time and has been out most of today, hes still young. And the other hasnt wanted to come in, but when she does she goes back out anyway.

they are owned by multi billion dollor ranchs owned by multi billion dollor corporation and are run by femenist baby boomers

I talked to the owner the other day while I was rideing my stud

there was a mare in heat that pissed all over the front of my stallions stall

pretty sure she did this on perpuss trying to fuck everything up that isnt hers

I cant even feed right now because my horses are lathered
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30187895

So are their owners going to come get them? What did they say when you talked to them? Just give them some water and feed. Guess if they stay on your property, they become yours right? Maybe if you piss on the front of your horses stall it will drive the mare away from your horses.

my best Neva Masquerade is slapping everybody in the face and walking around snarling.

These Neva Nasquerade are the sweetest creatures in the world, and iam now in shock at Dusky, the slapper.

There is also awful, rough play among the kittens, which wasnot there until recently.

Dusky caused an an eye infection in one of the sweet, little girls. Dusky is my top kitty. I think iamgoing to have to cage her, or something.

Our fat cat who eats all the time stop eating the other day. he's lost 3 lbs. The vets said he had low red cell count, We think he's diabetic. All of the other cats seem to be acting weird too.

Tell me this!!!! Has anyone's cat been developing boogers in their left eye only? All of our cats have the same thing going on and it's something recent.

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
We had a weird, stinky fog last night in Georgia, hmmmm.

My cat is indoor/outdoor cat, she was pissed yesterday because it was raining and she couldn't go out - typically she likes to spend all day outside, coming in for a bite every now and again. Today it's nice out, the backdoor is open (she lets herself out) and she's sitting on my lap - a bit unusual.

And when she did go out this morning, she kept coming to the back door asking to be let back in - about 5 times until she decided to stay in.

can you describe it a bit more? the smell and stuff?

i am working on a theory....

compare your fog to what others have reported:

My husband and I couldn't decide on what it smelled like - maybe a mix of sulfur and plastic. It was about 10 pm and we were out smoking a cigarette.

My dog is acting strange. About 4 days ago, he refused to go upstairs, so now I have to carry him at bedtime, he shakes and his ears go down like he's frightened to death.
He has always followed me up and down the stairs because he likes to be with me, but now he refuses to use the stairs that go up to the second floor. It's weird because he's not old or anything, he's not in any pain, and he will go downstairs to our basement no problem.

I photograph wildlife. I am constantly aware of and observing animal behavior. Yes animals are sensitive and often pick up on signs of danger faster than humans. However, it only applies to a geographically local area. If you are in Southern CA for example, your cat cannot "sense" a quake about to happen in Northern CA.
