Calling all Liberals and Democrats - Save the Children

What Lanza did was against Federal law, State law ... hell it was even against UN law, if you care to take it that far.

Every one of those kids had a right to a full and complete life, just as surely as does every person, whose eyeballs happen to be reading these words.

This right is guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this right is inalienable, and in my personal opinion God given. Others might argue the latter point, but nonetheless, a right. On this we can agree.

The state, Federal or pick a State, or municipality should do everything in its power to protect the children.

In order to do so, the state might impinge on my right to have a howitzer or tank, say, which I might want to have to ultimately protect my property, my family and myself.

That's a debate that can be had, and for the most part, hghly unlikely its outcome meted out in government policy such as restricting the type of weaponI might buy, or how many rounds I can have in a legal magazine, or how long I might have to wait to buy a legal firearm.

All rational, and all in the name of the children.

Who can argue with that?

Mainly Liberals and Democrats, that's who.

I think the current numbers on the fatalities for Sandy Hook are 20 children, 6 adult educators, the parent, and the deranged soul who just wasn't right.

Well, as terrible as these numbers are, they pale in comparison to the abortion figures.

I would guess the number of children's lives prematurely terminated to be a hundred, maybe five hundred, maybe even a thousand times the death toll of Sandy Hook

Let us examine who cares about these children ... certainly Christians, and people of faith generally.

Which political party cares about the unborn ... easy enough, it's the Republicans. As best I can tell from my northern perch the Republicans care about ALL of them.

Not just the rich, not just the Caucasian, not just the smart, not just the fit or nondeformed ... every last one of them.

Get's a passing mention during Presidential election cycles but generally they're more concerned with such important issues as the Sandra Flukes of the world who depend on the state for her $9.99 per mo. contraception allthewhile spending 6+ years in university, at $30+ grand per year.

One can rationally debate what to do in situations such as incest, rape, emotional and physical health of mother.

That could land on either side of the line, and if abortions were restricted back to these, the world would be a better place imo.

Even allowing for non-moral circumstances ... morning after pill what have you,

but the reality of unfettered access to mid and late term abortions (I'm not a medical person so someone jump in and help me out)

In summation, every individual is important, and this Sandy Hook event was a tragedy.

What I've tried to do is objectively state facts to show that professors of "welfare of the children" are talking through their hats if they willfully deny the atrocity which is abortion.

So what to do about it?

Wouldn't it be nice if reasonable and rationale people on the left and right side of the aisle got together and negotiated a deal to the benefit of the children? Both sides got plenty they can reasonably give on, in order to get.

or maybe the elected legislators are neither reasonable, nor rationale, and western civilization is doomed, in which case cue the bread loaves and circuses. Wait, sounds like Washington, no?
