Wrong it was. But as a follower of his writing I still cannot understand how the numbers were wrong. Not for jut the end date but for the birth of Christ. The numbers the bible gives in its prophesies we're put together sensibly. It gave the impression that a human could not do it without divine help. What was the purpose?

There is something seriously wrong with people. I have read everything about flippin' Mayans I can for months now out of curiosity. They knew a lot and we could possibly learn from them. It seems as though most people today have no desire to learn. The 23rd is mentioned in several articles. We, as mankind may not know much, but we have learned a few things. One, that man has always known war. I am all for peace and the preservation of our planet. But sad to say, I feel that there are many on this site that need a serious a__ kicking.

That's not true at all.

People might continue with new dates, I don't know, but the 23rd isn't anything new. Nearly a decade ago I heard about this, and even then there was discussion about whether it was the 21st or the 23rd. There are a few links in this thread that point to the 23rd, and the OP started this thread before the 21st, so it wasn't written after "all was well" on 21 Dec.. Hold the gloating off a few more days, you're wasting your energy doing it now.

Are people even looking at the images being posted?

This isn't about changing dates. If anything, claiming December 21 as the end was changing the date.

And as the OP said, he never claimed anything will happen, only that people have been looking at the wrong date. Or, at the least, the wrong date is the date being publicized.

Quit bashing somebody for trying to clear up what appears to be a huuuuuge mistake made by those looking at December 21.

The end of the Mayan calendar is December 21, 2012...NOT the end of the world, NOT the end of civilization, NOT even the end of the age...just the end of a cycle of TIME...that is all.
