It is extremely Bright and you can feel it scorch your skin in winter. It seems to cross the sky in a bit of a kitty-corner fashion lately like it is cutting across in a shortcut route. It sets off to the side again out of place. And it is just a little bit late going down. Yet still much lightto see by for awhile afterwards |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 12637870 United States 12/22/2012 09:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | we need people, volunteers, who CAN see the horizon, unobscured by hills, buildings etc, to observe sunrise sunset times, because at the moment, all we are doing is speculating. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30548640 observe the times, and compare them to sunrise/sunset times in almanacs that'll tell us I live on a Barrier Island and drive along A1A in Central Florida to work around the same exact time every morning. That time happens to correspond with the sunrise right about now and I can say with 100% certainty the sun is rising over the Atlantic Ocean exactly on time. I very highly doubt that it is on time everyday here yet the Sun decides to take a detour and arrives late in Missouri or wherever the Hell these Suntards are claiming it's setting and rising off schedule. Please give it up OP! If there was an issue with the Sun rising and setting it would be known by everyone!!! Also a little food for thought for those that feel the need to constantly post threads stating the Sun is brighter or hotter or much more intense then ever. It is not. Think about all the living things that spend most of their lives out in the Sun. Even though Trees and plants need sunlight to thrive I highly doubt that they would survive very long being outside in this new intense Sun you guys keep clamoring about. There is a reason why certain types of trees only survive in certain climates and locations. |

But you can't simply take a picture of sunrise with an accurate time showing in the shot? I could...I simply will not. How special. I feel if you cannot go view this for yourself, or at least scroll through all the posts/threads by numerous people who say pretty much the same thing you really deserve to stay in the dark...maybe your supposed to I do not know. Besides I have seen a few people take a photo of something and still the blind or shill or whatever they are will disavow it as bs. I will state this again I AM VERY HONEST I know this is what I saw and what it IS. You can ignore or cast doubt or just do what you want with it. Quoting: IwasKidding So how did you determine that the sunrise was that late and how did you determine what YOUR LOCAL sunrise time is supposed to be? |

(our bedroom is on side of house away from sunrise) I got up at a little before the Almanac said sunrise was to be (7:05) went to look not sun not a bit. Went back to bed for a few minutes although last few days it seems like it is really well past time to be out of bed. By 7:25 I was out looking for sun, snapped a couple pictures where it would come up at...which it did around 7:30 maybe 7:28ish (if clock was off) Okay so it is WAY off, and yet it is WAY too light out before it ever makes an appearance. Quoting: IwasKidding I'm seeing this for Joplin Mo. How is a sunrise @ 7:28ish "way off"? Sunrise: 7:28am Sunset: 5:04pm [link to www.sunrisesunset.com] |

Menow User ID: 18943200 United States 12/22/2012 12:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pretty light out by 630 sun was due to come up about 704 by 7 there was as much light out as if it were up at 725 STILL NO SUN. It was 730 before the sun rose here in Missouri this morning, BUT it was DAYLIGHT out just like on a mildly cloudy day much later. I have also been noting the difference on another thread along with others. Quoting: IwasKidding Do you understand that the sunrise time will change with your specific location? For example, sunrise today was at 7:16am for Saint Louis, Missouri. [link to www.timeanddate.com] If, however, you live on the opposite side of the state, like Kansas City, Missouri, the sun rose at 7:35am. [link to www.timeanddate.com] It is precisely because it is fashionable for Americans to know no science, even though they may be well educated otherwise, that they so easily fall prey to nonsense. They thus become part of the armies of the night, the purveyors of nitwittery, the retailers of intellectual junk food, the feeders on mental cardboard, for their ignorance keeps them from distinguishing nectar from sewage. — Isaac Asimov |
