Very interesting, hope to see some quality discussion :) "Nonviolence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man." "A religion without a goddess is halfway to atheism." "I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief." |

Very interesting, hope to see some quality discussion :) if we look into the end date of 12th Baktun.. we found that it ends in 1618 AC ..(( 1618 = Golden Number lol ) as it has been recorded it ends on September 18 1618 and nothing is serious has happened that day ... the interesting thing the day after 18 which 19.. it marked the beginning of the Battle of Pilsen for Thirty years war.. which it was the first major battle.. The Mayans themselves divided into two opinions. The first agrees that it started in 11th August 3114 BC so it ends at December 21 2012. The other group thinks it started in 13th August 3114BC,, so it ends at December 23 2012.. But the question is:: Who really made an official announced that Mayan Calender ends on December 21... Is it a conspiracy?? to drive people's attention from the real date ? to me i think the Mayans calender started on 13th August 3114 BC .. you might ask me why ? it makes sense to me, because if we took the total days number of a year which is 365 and divide it by 1.618 to find the day that has the golden ratio.. 365\1.618= 225 Day 225 is August 13... plus that we know that the ancient Mayans had used the Golden Ration in many things.. So if that's right, then the calender would end on December 23 What do you think ?? Good job OP. I've been telling the exact same thing. The actual end date is the 23rd. Like you said it could be to take attention away from the real date. Everyone expects the 21st nothing happens and they go back to there normal lives. Then 23rd happens and all hell breaks lose. |

Exactly!!! I've noticed how many of the main stream media are focusing so much on December 21, and trying to plant it in people's mind. the weird thing, they never talk about the possibility of it may occur on the 22 or 23 of December.. which made me doubt the whole thing |

One thing that I've learned from history.. Ancient civilizations has fallen and ended in all of sudden, and they weren't even prepared. |

There is the Vedic calendar too and no one here has brought that up. The people in India have protected and conserved all their ancient scriptures. But, when I first heard about this nearly a decade ago I saw both the 21st and the 23rd being talked about. Only in the past few years since it's been getting major media attention has the 23rd all but disappeared. I'll give it til the end of the year and then I'll allow disappointment to fully set in... lol. |

After the end of one age, another age begins. Hollywood made a lot of money off convincing people it was the end of the world though. |
