the only fair solution is to create states where those who are uneasy and scared can go live without self protection, and impose all the restrictions and regulations to their hearts content

I agree. Its going to get messy. I went home for christmas and hooked up with some friends I hadn't seen in years. These guys are now in their forties with families, they're avid hunters and all have arsenals and they WILL not give them up. If it comes down to it you will have thousands of groups of thousands banding together,tens of thousands even. They'll drop an EMP on us so we have no way of communication before it comes to all out civil war,or they'll slowly confiscate and erradicate 'trouble makers ' over a period of years

Because of the sheer numbers, the .gov will find it easier to keep a list of people not on a list !

Someone still feels resentment over being smacked on the nose with a rolled up newspaper 200yrs ago. A 14 yr old kid out in Arizona shot and armed intruder a couple weeks ago. What do you reckon would have happened if it was your house and your kid that happened to?
