Tyson and Hoagland need not even be mentioned in the same breath. Tyson is a scientist, Hoagland is a joke.

There is no scientific basis to prophecy. Dr. Tyson would not waste his time on that.

And calling this incredibly intelligent, articulate, and funny man 'godless', an 'antichrist' and a 'bastard' just shows how shallow your intelligence is.

There is more doom porn than there has ever been at any time in history. Why? because there are 7 billion of us now and the access to information is greater than it's ever been. And what do we know from earth's ancient history? The planet has been hit by an asteroid that wiped out all life on earth. As we become more aware of our eventual doom, we are all running around like headless chickens screaming the sky is falling. It's a natural reaction to the probability that our species will not survive. Are we going to do anything about it and figure out a way to persist. Yet to be seen, not if we keep killing each other though. No one has it all figured out though. And anyone who says they do is lying to you.

Any expression of the cosmos should not be taken for granted.

He is really smart, very smart with things of this system, that is for sure. A great speaker. With all of that, he falls short. He fails to realize the mathematical facts, for the evidences of God - yet alone to look to the Bible to understand WHY everything is not perfect here on earth. (you have to watch the video to near the end to get the full dose of what he is pushing) That is a pity that he does not even try to entertain that notion.

He was saying near the end, NO ONE will never know these key questions to life. Well, is that not convenient for the science community? I mean, they can keep on getting tax payer monies and grants to make up theories that will likely be proven wrong soon anyway, but they also admit they can never answer the big questions.

I find that strange.

In the context of this video. Naturally science and physics is very useful for countless practical applications as well.

DeGrasse Tyson is currently one of the high priests of materialistic "science" (as it likes to call itself). Steiner referred to this game as "the Ahrimanic Deception" nearly a century ago where all bow to God of "science" and anything outside its "logic" is belittled and othered. First mistake. The Ancient Ones knew this would occur as it has happened many times before in the past during the planetary migrations inward..

Scientists try to base their understanding of the Universe on what is actually observed (you know, FACTS), not mystical babblings.
