Mr. Toppit User ID: 30815239 United States 01/05/2013 09:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, you're just easily scared. Life isn't a television program. There is no percentage in going after a guards family. "Oh, they could blackmail a guard!" Except that in real life, if they tried, they'd only lose from doing it. Again, life isn't a movie. Take the addresses away and see if that doesn't stop the whole thing from doing anything at all. Who cares about guards? A dime a dozen. Same with cops. They get killed all the time. Its really the lawyers and judges who are the real paranoids. What do they do to them in mexico - cut their heads off with chainsaws, torture, hangings, rape. Even cops get more respect . |

Guards being threatened by inmates? How many? What proof do we have that this story even happened? How did the inmates get a hold of the information? Did they write it down? Memorize it? No, we're being told that this happened and that it's a threat. Let's all be scared because people know where armed people live? I thought the point of gun ownership was to make people like that think twice about giving you problems? Think about it. This is a none issue, made up to control how you think. Shut up. Do you want your name and address posted in the newspaper? It's called privacy And everyone has a right to it Sure, but that doesn't make it a real issue. "Oh, they might send a hit squad to get the guards kids!" Because we live in a television program? Get real. My address has been all over the web for years and guess what? Nothing bad has ever come of it. Could this be a problem? Sure. Could aliens land tomorrow and take over the world? We have a lot more evidence that that might be a problem. So, don't get your shorts in a bunch over this. When a few guards are shot because of it, then it's a problem. Or at least one. Until then? A non-issue. I don't agree that the addresses should be advertised like that. It doesn't make this into something to actually worry over. So, genius, tell me why they keep people's health records private? Huh? Nothing "bad" could ever come of it if someone got your records, Right? You ever take business law in college? No? I didnt think so. There is a word called Forseeable. It's why people sue their asses off in this country. If it's a foreseeable crime, then they can sue if the crime is committed If prisoners have information they can use to commit a crime, then it's clearly a foreseeable crime based on this new situation. I choose to not publish my life on fb. That's my choice. I foresee an issue putting my info out there. Because I use my brain. If you choose to put your info out there and base your safety on what has not happened so far, then you're living in the la-la land of denial and stupidity. Cheers |

Quoting: Psych Having said that. Even though I think this information shouldn't have been published in a newspaper, if an inmate wants the address of a guard, I am sure there are dozens of ways to get that information, legally. In this case the information was presented to them on a silver platter. Exactly. I happen to personally know a handful of prison gurads. They get threatened every day. Their life is on edge every day And now they have to worry more that the criminals that already despise and hate them, now have their personal info, without having to do any work to find it Crazy |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 31317595 Switzerland 01/05/2013 10:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | And don't forget, Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17660272 American prison system does NOT rehabilitate criminals. In fact, it has been proven, that the prisons harden criminals and create more revenge and anger issues. And aren't they releasing criminals because of financial strain? Yet they keep putting people away for the silliest things - collecting rainwater!!! So they have a revolving door institution that picks people up, hardens them and strips them of any sense of decency, and then releases them back into the population. Joy. This world is insane ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS The united states currently holds 25% of the WORLDS prison population for IDIOTIC offenses. Offenses that the rest of the world would 'slap them on the wrist' for. Minor Drug offences, unpaid fines, domestic problems, etc. This doesn't even COUNT the amount that are currently under state supervision for said 'Crimes to Humanity'.... It's a business. 90% of the prisons are Privately owned. The judges & cops take Payola from the Prison industry to send MORE people to jail for idiotic offenses. Then non-violent people get put behind bars with VIOLENT people, are forced to adapt to survive, and come OUT of prison with a brand new mentality. Unable to get a job now because 'society' has branded them a leper. Now most just don't even give a shit if they commit 'real' crimes to survive. I'd say at least 1/3+ of the people currently in prison should have never been there in the first place. It's a fucking joke. Only armed robbers, murders and rapists should be there.....and that's the MINORITY in the prison system. Amurikka. Home of the Slave. |
