This is why people need to reject state sponsored murder, what reason won't they find to murder us? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32125544 WHAT????????? THEY CHOSE euthanasia not the gov so where are you coming from??????????? They chose it -- but it's state sponsored as it's carried out by an agent of the state. |

This is why people need to reject state sponsored murder, what reason won't they find to murder us? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32125544 It's ok to euthanize a pet that is in pain and is suffering, but a human being shouldn't be able to make the choice to end his own life instead of enduring more pain and suffering? I don't condone murder in any way, shape, or form, but a human being ought to have the right to choose a peaceful death if his quality of life has been diminished by lingering illness or disease. Give me liberty or give me death! Exactly. If we euthanize animals because we don't want to continuing their suffering, human beings should have the same choice - instead of resorting to blotched and inhumane efforts such as drugs and gunshot. That is true freedom - the right to a peaceful death. |

You do the signs in each other's hands. I have been around people who do this and they have a good time and laugh. These brothers had each other and could have met other's in the deaf community who would have loved to help them to cope and have a full life. And when you lose one or more senses others become more prominent. Like when it is dark and your hearing is more acute. Who knows what other senses would have taken over being both deaf and blind. I suppose we could find out from other's who are like this. Where there is a will there is always a way. Life definitely becomes more simpler. |

Super Powers for the Blind and Deaf [link to www.scientificamerican.com] "But there is mounting evidence that people missing one sense don't just learn to use the others better. The brain adapts to the loss by giving itself a makeover. If one sense is lost, the areas of the brain normally devoted to handling that sensory information do not go unused — they get rewired and put to work processing other senses." Our brains are so awesome. Too bad these brothers checked out before really discovering how interesting life could get. Just imagine how heightened the other senses would get when two are lost. Here is a google link with more info. The key is to never give up. The brain doesn't. [link to www.google.com] |

Even if it is hard to do. |
