Obamacare Kicks In. Stoppage Of Care, Higher Premiums.

Only people who are wealthy will pay higher taxes, over $250,000 a year. Also, the elderly paid into social security, and deserve their checks, and their medical.

Also, what about poor people who have life-threatening conditions, are they just supposed to be left to die? So if they have no family that can afford their bills, they should just drop dead, right?

What if someone finds out they have some life-threatening disease, and doesn't have insurance? It would be a pre-existing condition, so they would not be able to get it. Let's say they could come up with enough money for a few doctor's visits. How about treatments, and tests? Guess since they didn't have insurance BEFORE they got sick, then that is their fault, right? That's their punishment for not being able to afford insurance I guess. Just take the punishment for not being wealthy, and lay down and wait to die. People just don't care.

Why doesn't anyone think they will never be in a tough spot someday? You don't ever expect that you will be down and out? If you get deathly ill someday, and you are down and out, do you want to be left to die?

The republicans are the ones who want to cut everything the elderly gets. And they sure as heck don't want poor young people to have any care either. They would rather just kill all the poor people and be done with it, if the truth was known.

No one ever thinks that they will be in a bad position some day. And anyone who thinks all poor people are alcoholics are drug addicts is crazy. Yes, there are plenty of them out there, but not everyone is that way. It makes me sad just how uncaring the world is.

Starting next year, if you do not have medical coverage, you have to pay a penalty.
I have to add that my oldest daughter, who has multiple disabilities, had her medicaid coverage cut off as of January 1st. She was born with mild spina bifida, bilateral hip dysplasia, and is LD, EH, and ADHD. The letter we got in said that she was now healthy. LOL, what a crock. There is no appeal.

That's why it's so outrageous. We already subsidize public health care for the disabled and elderly. Now we have to subsidize their private health care plans too.

Most people under 40 on individual plans will see their premiums double within just a few years.

This is what I see...

Both parties and the wealthy and healthcare industry wanted to change things...

Obamacare based itself on being more human and helping more people.

A noble goal no doubt.

What we got was, "Now you don't get pay in and everything is taken care of" insurance anymore.

What we now have is "Pay in and pay and pay and pay".

Now we have YOU pay, your in a PLAN and YOU PAY.

The healthcare industry loves it on both the insurance and medical side.

We were screwed over by both parties and the elite/PTB as usual.

And NO WAY did we get the universal health care system we were promised.

Take from the middle class, more of whats to come.

We didn't begin to get what the Canadians have, we just got fucked even worse.

"Lets get them to be happy that paying for a plan just reduces their payments. We have the balls to to tell the doctors they will get" "WE don't have to shell out anything we just manage what THEY pay and collect their premiums!"

They are both in the bag. Nothing changes until you call out the people in whatever party you choose. This one was entirely on the Democrats however, to say otherwise is ridiculous. Wall Street? That one is on both.

Why can't she live with family? That is how it use to be long ago. Family took care of its own. Family should take care of its own. Can any of you take her into your homes? That is what I am my siblings are preparing to do. Don't expect the government to take care of what is your responsibility. I know it is harsh but it is reality. I am right there with you as are many others who have parent/s to take care of.

My mother,who has congestive heart failure, and is on oxygen, as of January 1st no longer has a nurse come and check on her once a week, due to the Medicare cuts. As of August 1st of 2012, when the first round of cuts came, her once a week Physical Therapist was totally cut, her nurse was cut to 1 day a week from 2 days, and her CNA was cut from 2 hours twice a week, to 1 hour once a week. She was told that the CNA might be totally cut too. She still lives in her own home, by herself, sparing the taxpayers the cost of nursing home care. IF she would go into a nursing home, the money available from the liquidation of the few assetts would be gone in a few months, and then Medicaid would pick up the tab.
My older brother was notified by mail on saturday, that the medical insurance premium for his school age son has gone up from $100 a month to $750 a month. That's right, a 650% INCREASE !!! My brother, who was forced to retire early a year and a half ago, was covering my nephew on his work policy. He cancelled the medical insurance, as the increased premium eats up nearly his whole pension check. He called for an explanation, and was told EVERYONE got an increase, whether a retired employee or one that is still employed.
Obamacare has done nothing to help the health care crisis in our country. Instead, it has made health care totally unaffordable, and the rationing of care has begun.
