Breaking!!! At least 245 people dead and hundreds injured in a nightclub fire in southern Brazil,

I guess by the number of deads, the place never will work as a nightclub again.
And the owner(s) are fuked now, probably they dont go to jail, but they will spend alot money on this, is how the things work here.
But have a lot of others places in same situation of irregularities about security, so if eventualy you think in come here in the future, stay alert, the entire country is a fuking joke, a very bad one, and can be deadly in many ways.

That's what happened in a nutshell, plus the locking of the exit doors by the security bouncers to prevent people from leaving without paying.

I don't see any room for a conspiracy here, except for the obvious stupidity from the band member playing with fireworks indoors and the greedy irresponsible-greedy-nightclub crew bastards trapping people inside.

I agree with you, i saw in globo news a photografer girl, which was in the place and she said about the nightclub employees has NOT locked the door to prevent people not pay.
But i dont saw no employee dead, and she was in the vip area and probably is a "elite" girl, so to me is a little suspicious.

If you actually bothered to research about Rio Grande do Sul state and Santa Maria you would find mostly white people live there, and some cities have the highest living standards among the entire country, comparable to First World countries. So yeah, very misinformed opinion.

Ok sorry for the 4th post in a row, but the incident was indeed quite strange. Santa Maria (Saint Mary), the name of the club was KISS (knights in satan service, or so I heard), makes you think.

At least nightclubs in the Northeast are safe, and people don't die on fires here, asshole!

I can totally understand the hatred that some people in the Northeast feel about the South, given all the cases of bigotry, and even racism, in the past.

But I think some people are over-reacting by celebrating the deaths of 200 innocent people in a nightclub.

I'm pretty sure it's just a fringe of lunatic haters, and has nothing to do with the feelings of the majority of people in the Northeast about this terrible tragedy.

It was reported that the band was responsible for the fire and I was curious to know if they died, but I just found this article:

"The band that was onstage began to use flares and, suddenly, they stopped the show and pointed them upward," she said. "At that point, the ceiling caught fire. It was really weak, but in a matter of seconds it spread."

Guitarist Rodrigo Martins told Radio Gaucha that the band, Gurizada Fandangueira, started playing at 2:15 a.m. "and we had played around five songs when I looked up and noticed the roof was burning"

"It might have happened because of the Sputnik, the machine we use to create a luminous effect with sparks. It's harmless, we never had any trouble with it.

"When the fire started, a guard passed us a fire extinguisher, the singer tried to use it but it wasn't working"

He confirmed that accordion player Danilo Jacques, 28, died, while the five other members made it out safely."

The Station Fire. :(

This fire mimics it in so many ways.

The pyrotechnics, overcrowding, how fast it went up. And, even more interesting. In a little under a month. It'll be 10 years since The Station went up.

I've watched that video of the Station fire so many times. To dissect it. (I'm quite a death hag) and it never gets any easier to watch.
