Especially if a Madrid quake happened with enough force to destabilize the open areas underneath.. I can't say that I fully understand how the methane gas/salt domes connect into this. but just understanding that there is a huge gaping hole underneath a large city in Louisiana.. and if you look on a map the state itself looks like sedimentary deposit.. it already looks like the land is corroding into the gulf. |
