No Atlantic Hurricane by August in First Time in 11 Years

'August is about to end without an Atlantic hurricane for the first time since 2002, calling into question predictions of a more active storm season than normal.
Six tropical systems have formed in the Atlantic since the season began June 1 and none of them has grown to hurricane strength with winds of at least 74 miles (120 kilometers) per hour. Accumulated cyclone energy in the Atlantic, a measure of tropical power, is about 30 percent of where it normally would be, said Phil Klotzbach, lead author of Colorado State University’s seasonal hurricane forecasts....'

Lackluster Hurricane Season Could Still Rev Up

'....The lack of hurricanes can be blamed on westerly winds, Weber said. So far this summer, there have been strong winds blowing from west to east across the Atlantic, which have systematically destroyed developing storms and prevented them from strengthening and growing into well-organized hurricanes, Weber said. Hurricanes are fueled by the transfer of heat from the ocean to the upper atmosphere, but they depend on a relatively symmetrical, rotating system to get going. They form best in calm conditions, with warm surface temperatures, Weber added....'

Atlantic hurricane season quietest in 45 years, experts say

'The 2013 Atlantic hurricane season looks set to go down as a big washout, marking the first time in 45 years that the strongest storm to form was just a minor Category 1 hurricane.

There could still be a late surprise in the June 1-November 30 season, since the cyclone that mushroomed into Superstorm Sandy was just revving up at this time last year.

But so far, at least, it has been one of the weakest seasons since modern record-keeping began about half a century ago, U.S. weather experts say. Apart from Tropical Storm Andrea, which soaked Florida after moving ashore in the Panhandle in June, none of this year's cyclones has made a U.S. landfall....'

The ocean is broken

'IT was the silence that made this voyage different from all of those before it.

Not the absence of sound, exactly.

The wind still whipped the sails and whistled in the rigging. The waves still sloshed against the fibreglass hull.

And there were plenty of other noises: muffled thuds and bumps and scrapes as the boat knocked against pieces of debris.
What was missing was the cries of the seabirds which, on all previous similar voyages, had surrounded the boat.

The birds were missing because the fish were missing.

Exactly 10 years before, when Newcastle yachtsman Ivan Macfadyen had sailed exactly the same course from Melbourne to Osaka, all he'd had to do to catch a fish from the ocean between Brisbane and Japan was throw out a baited line.
"There was not one of the 28 days on that portion of the trip when we didn't catch a good-sized fish to cook up and eat with some rice," Macfadyen recalled.

But this time, on that whole long leg of sea journey, the total catch was two.

No fish. No birds. Hardly a sign of life at all....'

Ocean’s horror tale gets global audience

'NEWCASTLE ocean yachtsman Ivan Macfadyen came home from the sea this year determined to tell the world about the horror that he saw beyond the horizon.

Having just finished the Melbourne to Osaka yacht race – retracing the same course he’d taken in the same race 10 years before – Mr Macfadyen was stunned to find an ocean profoundly changed.

Where a decade ago he easily caught a fish a day between Brisbane and Japan, this time he caught just two.

The fish were absent, and so were the birds he’d previously been accustomed to having around his boat.

He reported witnessing an incident of shockingly wasteful industrial-scale fishing on a mid-ocean reef, and he described being deeply disturbed by a long, deep plume of garbage in the North Pacific, between Japan and the US – much of it left in the sea by the catastrophic Japanese tsunami.

‘‘Having seen this, I couldn’t keep silent about it,’’ Mr Macfadyen said....'

Why is the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season falling so far short of expectations?

'Just before the start of the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season, U.S. forecasters were calling for an 'active to extremely active' season. Now, with just over a month left until the season is over, it's starting to look like the the season is a dud and the forecast is a bust.
The initial forecast was for something similar to the 2010 hurricane season, with between 13 and 20 'named' storms, 7 to 11 hurricanes and 3 to 5 major hurricanes. So far, the season hasn't even lived up to the minimum of that prediction, only producing a dozen 'named' storms and two hurricanes — Humberto in the eastern Atlantic in early September and Ingrid in the Gulf of Mexico in mid-September.

The last year that saw numbers that low was the 'below-average' 2009 hurricane season. There's still over five weeks left to go before it officially ends on November 30th, and we could see more storms before then. However, there would have to be a major and unprecedented outbreak of hurricanes to make up the difference between what was forecast and what actually happened....'

Hmmm...with all the other "resignations" and people being "relieved of command" in the military this year...makes you wonder what's really going. I have my ideas and it's not good. To further the agenda you can't keep people around that won't tow the line....

'The No. 2 officer at the military command in charge of all U.S. nuclear war-fighting forces has been suspended and is under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigation Command for issues related to gambling, officials said Saturday.

Air Force strips 17 officers of power to launch intercontinental nuclear missiles

'WASHINGTON – The Air Force stripped an unprecedented 17 officers of their authority to control -- and, if necessary, launch -- nuclear missiles after a string of unpublicized failings, including a remarkably dim review of their unit's launch skills. The group's deputy commander said it is suffering "rot" within its ranks.

"We are, in fact, in a crisis right now," the commander, Lt. Col. Jay Folds, wrote in an internal email obtained by The Associated Press and confirmed by the Air Force.

Asked about this at a Senate hearing Wednesday, Air Force Secretary Michael Donley, the service's top official, explained the problem by stressing that launch control officers are relatively junior in rank -- lieutenants and captains -- and need to be reminded continually of the importance of "this awesome responsibility" for which they have been trained....'

Report: Nuclear officers, including at Malmstrom, left blast door open

'Twice this year alone, U.S. Air Force officers entrusted with the launch keys to nuclear-tipped missiles have been caught leaving open a blast door that is intended to help prevent a terrorist or other intruder from entering their underground command post, Air Force officials have told The Associated Press.

The blast doors are never to be left open if one of the crew members inside is asleep — as was the case in both these instances — out of concern for the damage an intruder could cause, including the compromising of secret launch codes.

Transgressions such as this are rarely revealed publicly. But officials with direct knowledge of Air Force intercontinental ballistic missile operations told the AP that such violations have happened, undetected, many more times than in the cases of the two launch crew commanders and two deputy commanders who were given administrative punishments this year.

The blast door violations are another sign of serious trouble in the handling of the nation’s nuclear arsenal. The AP has discovered a series of problems within the ICBM force, including a failed safety inspection, the temporary sidelining of launch officers deemed unfit for duty and the abrupt firing last week of the two-star general in charge. The problems, including low morale, underscore the challenges of keeping safe such a deadly force that is constantly on alert but is unlikely ever to be used.

The crews who operate the missiles are trained to follow rules without fail, including the prohibition against having the blast door open when only one crew member is awake, because the costs of a mistake are so high....'

Air Force general in charge of nuclear missiles fired over 'conduct'

'The two-star general in charge of all Air Force nuclear missiles was fired Friday following a probe into alleged personal misbehavior -- just days after another key official overseeing U.S. nuclear power was relieved of duty.

The Air Force announced Friday that Maj. Gen. Michael Carey was removed from command of the 20th Air Force, which is responsible for three wings of intercontinental ballistic missiles -- a total of 450 missiles at three bases across the country.

The circumstances of Carey's firing were unclear. Two officials told the Associated Press it had to do with alcohol use....'

NUKE TROUBLES RUN DEEP; KEY OFFICERS "BURNED OUT"

'WASHINGTON (AP) -- Trouble inside the Air Force's nuclear missile force runs deeper and wider than officials have let on.

An unpublished study for the Air Force, obtained by The Associated Press, cites "burnout" among launch officers with their fingers on the triggers of 450 weapons of mass destruction. Also, evidence of broader behavioral issues across the intercontinental ballistic missile force, including sexual assaults and domestic violence.

The study, provided to the AP in draft form, says that court-martial rates in the nuclear missile force in 2011 and 2012 were more than twice as high as in the overall Air Force. Administrative punishments, such as written reprimands for rules violations and other misbehavior, also were higher in those years.

These indicators add a new dimension to an emerging picture of malaise and worse inside the ICBM force, an arm of the Air Force with a proud heritage but an uncertain future.

Concerned about heightened levels of misconduct, the Air Force directed RAND Corp....'

Mount Rokatenda volcano erupts in Indonesia, killing five

'August 10, 2013 – INDONESIA – A volcano eruption in central Indonesia has spewed hot ash and rocks high into the air and left five people dead. Mount Rokatenda, on the tiny island of Palue, sent fast-moving red-hot ash onto a nearby beach, leaving three adults and two children dead, said vulcanology centre head Surono. Bioluminescent Pollution Detection - A Moonshot Project

'Her idea was to find the 21st century version of a canary in a coal mine - finding the pollution before it can do damage to our largest cities. The solution was to use the bioluminescence that Edith so loves in the ocean to help detect poison on land. Tests are done on soil samples collected from waterways because the sediment isn't mobile like water flow yet holds the pollution inside of itself.

The light from some bacteria is produced when the bacteria performs its version of the breathing process. The detection idea is that if there's a toxin in the soil sample then the light output will be interrupted and produce a substantially smaller amount of light. When a sample is found where the light goes out completely the danger level is very high.

5 Surprising Facts About the Oarfish That Has Been Washing Up on Beaches

'Two rare oarfishes have washed up on California beaches in less than a week, prompting much excitement among marine scientists and the public. Oarfish live in deep water and are rarely seen at the surface, though they are thought to be the inspiration for “sea serpent” tales of old.

In Japan, oarfish have long figured into folklore. Smaller than the giant oarfish, the related slender oarfish (Regalecus russelii) is known there as the "Messenger from the Sea God's Palace." And according to traditional belief, if many of the fish wash up, it may signal a coming earthquake.

According to Japan Times, there could be some scientific basis to that story, even if scientists don’t currently use fish behavior to predict tremors. Kiyoshi Wadatsumi, a scientist who studies earthquakes at the nonprofit organization e-PISCO, told the paper, “Deep-sea fish living near the sea bottom are more sensitive to the movements of active faults than those near the surface of the sea.”'

Coincidence or trend? Second oarfish washes ashore in California

'Marine biologists have a mystery to solve: Why have the carcasses of two rare oarfish washed up on Southern California shores within a week?

Sightings of the huge deep-sea creatures -- dead or alive -- are unusual, because they typically swim thousands of feet below the surface.

A dead 14-foot-long oarfish came ashore in Oceanside, California, on Friday afternoon, according to an Oceanside police dispatcher. A representative of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was called to haul the serpent-like fish away for study, she said....'

‘Sea Serpents’ Or Harbingers? Oarfish Washed Up Year Before Japan Quake

'Could the appearance of rare “sea serpents” washing ashore beaches in Southern California portend disaster?

The question comes following the discovery of the carcass of a rare 18-foot-long oarfish off the coast of Catalina Island on Oct. 13, followed by another snakelike 14-foot-long oarfish found on Oct. 18 in Oceanside.

Fishermen in Japan reported a sharp uptick in oarfish sightings in March 2010 following the massive magnitude-8.8 earthquake in Chile that same month, which marked almost exactly one year before the country was devastated by its own magnitude-8.9 quake in northeast Japan....'

The freak from the deep: Long-nosed fish that lives 3,000ft below the ocean is caught for only the second time ever

'An extremely weird looking fish was snagged recently in the frigid artic waters off northern Canada and after some confused speculation about what it even is, researchers have identified it as the super rare long-nosed chimaera.

The spooky, deep sea fish has a long nose, menacing mouth, and a venomous spine atop its gelatinous grey body and was caught near the northernmost province of Nunavut in Davis Straight.

Researchers, who at first believed the odd fish was the similarly freakish goblin shark, say the long-nosed chimaera likely makes its home at depths not often visited by humans....'

Military Suicides Drop; Unclear Why (2013)
"Last year the number of suicides in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines spiked to 349 for the
full 12-month period, the highest since the Pentagon began closely tracking the numbers in 2001,
and up from the 2011 total of 301. There were 295 Americans killed in Afghanistan [war] last year,
by the AP's count." There are more dying by suicide than in war. Why????

forces — about 120 deaths per week."

'Comet of the Century' Could Create New Meteor Shower

' An incoming comet that may well turn out to be the "comet of the century" could create an unusual kind of meteor shower, scientists say.

Updates on approaching Comet C/2012 S1 - ISON

'Currently, Comet ISON is 383 million kilometers away from Earth traveling at a speed of 30.66 km/s (110 376 km/h) as it approaches Mars. It has long passed Jupiter and will flyby Red Planet on October 1, 2013, at about 17:24 UTC. It will continue to accelerate steadily until November 28 when it is expected to whip around the Sun at an astonishing speed of 1 359 896 km/h (845 000 mph)....

....There are three possible scenarios for Comet ISON, scientists say. First one is fizzle, where ISON evaporates under intense tidal forces and solar radiation. Nobody hopes for this, but hey, it's a cruel world out there. The second scenario is break-up. In this scenario, ISON breaks into smaller chunks. This, by the way, might happen any time. The third scenario is what everybody hopes will happen - sizzle - ISON survives the Sun and emerges so bright it becomes visible on Earth in daylight....

....At the time of ISON's closest approach to Mars, on October 1, it will be 0.07 AU (10.5 million km) away from it and this flyby comes at a key time in ISON's journey as it will just cross the "frost line", the place outside the orbit of Mars where solar heating is enough to start vaporizing frozen water.

When it crosses the frost line, "the whole comet could erupt in geysers of gas," said Carey Lisse of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab....'

'SAN FRANCISCO — The sun's current space-weather cycle is the most anemic in 100 years, scientists say.

Our star is now at "solar maximum," the peak phase of its 11-year activity cycle. But this solar max is weak, and the overall current cycle, known as Solar Cycle 24, conjures up comparisons to the famously feeble Solar Cycle 14 in the early 1900s, researchers said....'

The Nelson Mandela family has finally given up their charade and admitted that Nelson Mandela is dead by announcing today that the former leader of South Africa is no longer with us. The charade began in June of 2013, and has maintained Mandela has been deceased since we were informed of his passing in June via one of our reporters embedded in South Africa.

That reporter had received a text message from her close friend who works for the South African News which stated that Mandela had died the night prior. Since June, The Guardian Express has come under attack; first from a “denial of service” attack which shut the site down on and off for three days right after we published the news that Mandela had died. That denial of service attack was traced back to South Africa.

Blue pill = December 21st, 2012

Before I tell you how deep the rabbit hole goes and how I cracked the TRUE end cycle completion date of the Mayan Long Count calendar, I will start with the Mayan Calendar basics. This Youtube explains it well:

"Wheels working together

The Mayan Calendar consists of three separate corresponding calendars, the Long Count, the Tzolkin (divine calendar) and the Haab (civil calendar). Time is cyclical in the calendars and a set number of days must occur before a new cycle can begin.

The three calendars are used simultaneously. The Tzolkin and the Haab identify and name the days, but not the years. The Long Count date comes first, then the Tzolkin date and last the Haab date. A typical Mayan date would read: 13.0.0.0.0 4 Ahau 8 Kumku, where 13.0.0.0.0 is the Long Count date, 4 Ahau is the Tzolkin date and 8 Kumku is the Haab date."

[link to www.timeanddate.com]

We don't start counting our Gregorian calendar at year 0 right???? It goes like -2 B.C, 1 B.C. 1 A.D, 2 A.D. and so on. You don't start counting the years on the day Christ was born. We skip over that zero year. It has no value! There is no zero year.

So why did these Mayan calendar researchers count zero year, thus coming up with the end date of Dec. 21st or 23rd, 2012? It makes no sense! How could they have be so stupid not to have figured this out?

They started counting at:

Aug. 11th, -3113 or 0.0.0.0.0 (4 Ahau) (ZERO YEAR) and that is how researchers arrived to the date of Dec. 21st, 2012 for the end of the 13th baktun 13.0.0.0.0 or 4 Ahau, 3 Kankin.

Not argueing that the calendar didn't start on 4 Ahau is the Tzolkin date and 8 Kumku is the Haab date or August 11, -3113 in the Gregorian calendar.

What I am pointing out is you don't start counting the Long count calendar year at 0 (just like we don't start counting our Gregorian calendar at 0 but instead we start it at year 1). Thus, the Mayan Code has now been cracked!

This is the calendar convertor tool:

[link to www.diagnosis2012.co.uk]

In order for the cycle to be complete, the Long Count calendar has to be at the end of its cycle, and the Tzolkin has to be at the end of its cycle or 13 Ahau. It is like the gears have to be perfectly in tuned or in sync. December 21st, 2012 didn't have all gears perfectly interlocked thus it fails.

The main reason why Carl Calleman came up with his Oct. 28th, 2011 end of the Long Count date, was because it fell on 13 Ahau of the Tzolkin calendar. He stressed that 13 Ahau is very important, which is why 4 Ahau on Dec. 21st, 2012 can't be the end date saying below:

"Another equally compelling reason why December 21, 2012 cannot be the true date of completion of creation is that this day is 4 Ahau in the tzolkin count. Since the Long Count consists of exactly 7200 tzolkin rounds then the true end of creation must fall on a day that is 13 Ahau in the tzolkin count so that the tzolkin rounds even out. If we want to find out what is the real date of ending of the creation cycles we must therefore look for a day around the year 2012, which is 13 Ahau in the tzolkin count. The inscriptions in Palenque, written about a thousand years after the Long Count was devised in Izapa, seem to indicate that the date of relevance is October 28, 2011, which in fact is 13 Ahau in the tzolkin count."

[link to www.calleman.com]

Well.......Dec. 16th, 2013 is 13 Ahau also!

Calleman's theory is correct, he is just got the wrong 13 Ahau date!

To further explain:

"The Tzolkin is a repeating cycle of 260 days which is made up of a cycle of 13 being repeated 20 times. The Tzolkin is read from the top left (1 Imix), down 20 places to the bottom of the first column (7 Ahau) up to the top of the second column (8 Imix) and so on. The cycle of 13 repeats itself in such a way that, over the 260 days, all 20 of the glyphs in the key to the left of the Tzolkin appear 13 times. The 260 day cycle ends with 13 Ahau."

[link to www.dr-rock.biz]

For the calendar to end of 4 Ahau or Dec. 21st, 2012 never made any sense to me which is why I was intrigued with Ian Lungold and Carl Calleman's theories.

13 Ahau is the highest form of completion in regards to the Tzolkin calendar and when you combine that with the 13th baktun, you get the highest form of calendar completion, interlocking the gears in the Mayan cycle. Thus, Dec. 16th, 2013 is 13 Baktun and 13 Ahau. The strongest possible completion you can possibly get! Maximum completion is when it reaches 13.0.1.0.0 or Dec. 16th, 2013! You can't get maximum calendar completion or the Long Count and Tzolkin calendar synchnocity when it reads 13.0.0.0.0 or Dec. 21st, 2012

Again, the Mayans used a 13:20 sync and this is seen in the Tzolkin calendar. The Tzolkin begins at 1 Imix, and ends on 13 Ahau and the 13:20 sync cycle is also used to figure out the katuns and baktuns as shown below:

20 kins equal 1 uinal or 20 days
18 uinals equal 1 tun or 360 days
20 tuns equal 1 katun or 7,200 days
20 katuns equal 1 baktun or 144,000 days

[link to www.hanksville.org]

So I plugged in the numbers and calculated this. As soon below, the numbers clearly don't like when I take the end date of Dec. 16th, 2013 and work backwords using a 13:20 cycle sync. Here is the example below:

Dec. 16th, 2013 minus 1,872,000 days or 144,000 days x 13 baktun cycles = August 5th -3113 (13 Ahau) All 13 Batuns completed!

Dec. 16th, 2013 minus 93,600 days or 7,200 days x 13 cycle katuns = Sept. 9th, 1757 (13 Ahau) All 13 Katuns completed!

Dec. 16th, 2013 minus 4680 days or 360 days x 13 cycle tuns = Feb. 22nd, 2001 (13 Ahau) All 13 Tuns completed!

Dec. 16th, 2013 minus 260 days or 20 days x 13 cycle uinals = March 31st, 2013 (13 Ahau) All 13 Uinals completed!

You see, all the gears rotate perfectly this way. It can't be done if you compute it by Dec. 21st, 2012 because everything would fall on a 4 Ahau for the Baktun completion, the Katun completion, the Tun completion, and the Uinal completion, and we know now that this can't be the case because the end of the Tzolkin 260 day cycle is 13 Ahau, not 4 Ahau!

In order for the calendar to reach maximum competion the 20 uinals, the 20 tuns, the 20 katuns, and the 20 baktuns have to be completed in the 13 cycle, all reaching 13 Ahau. Get it?

And as shown above with my calculations, it does! Maximum completion is shown on Dec. 16th, 2013 and again can't be done for computing the date of Dec. 21st, 2012.

December 16th, 2013 (13 Ahau Maximum Completion). All 13 Ahaus line up perfectly! The Long Count and the Tzolkin perfectly interlock and sync together. It is like hitting the jackpot!

:jactkpot:

Thus, zero year shouldn't have been included figuring out the end date as shown below:

Dec 16th, 2013 13.0.1.0.0 (13 Ahau)

144,000 days earlier or 1 baktun cycle...

Sept. 13th, 1619 12.0.1.0.0 (1 Ahau)

144,000 days earlier or another baktun cycle

June 10th, 1225 11.0.1.0.0 (2 Ahau)

and so on....

March 8th, 831 10.0.1.0.0 (3 Ahau)

Dec. 3rd, 436 9.0.1.0.0 (4 Ahau)

Aug. 31st 42 8.0.1.0.0 (5 Ahau)

May 28th, -352 7.0.1.0.0 (6 Ahau)

Feb. 23rd -746 6.0.1.0.0 (7 Ahau)

Nov. 21st -1141 5.0.1.0.0 (8 Ahau)

Aug. 18th -1535 4.0.1.0.0 (9 Ahau)

May 16th -1929 3.0.1.0.0 (10 Ahau)

Feb. 10th -2323 2.0.1.0.0 (11 Ahau)

Nov. 8th -2718 1.0.1.0.0 (12 Ahau)

August 5th -3112 0.0.1.0.0 (13 Ahau) (YEAR 1)

Aug. 11th, -3113 0.0.0.0.0 (4 Ahau) (ZERO YEAR)

You can see then when it starts on August 5th, -3112 B.C. (13 Ahau) and you go baktun by baktun (144,000 days each) it goes up the ladder perfectly. 13 Ahau, 12 Ahau, 11 Ahau, 10 Ahau, and so on, until it reaches 13 cycle baktun completion on Dec. 16th, 2013 and 13 Ahau, It doesn’t equate if you compute it with the base of Dec. 21st, 2012 as shown below:

Dec 21st, 2012 13.0.0.0.0 (4 Ahau)

Sept. 18th, 1618 12.0.0.0.0 (5 Ahau)

June 15th, 1224 11.0.0.0.0 (6 Ahau)

March 13th, 830 10.0.0.0.0 (7 Ahau)

Dec. 9th, 435 9.0.0.0.0 (8 Ahau)

Sept. 5th, 41 8.0.0.0.0 (9 Ahau)

June 3rd, -353 B.C. 7.0.0.0.0 (10 Ahau)

Feb. 28th -747 B.C. 6.0.0.0.0 (11 Ahau)

Nov. 26th -1142 B.C. 5.0.0.0.0 (12 Ahau)

Aug. 23rd -1536 B.C. 4.0.0.0.0 (13 Ahau)

May 21st -1930 B.C. 3.0.0.0.0 (1 Ahau)

Feb. 16th -2324 B.C. 2.0.0.0.0 (2 Ahau)

Nov. 13th -2719 B.C. 1.0.0.0.0 (3 Ahau)

August 5th -3112 B.C. 0.0.1.0.0 (13 Ahau) (YEAR 1)

Aug. 11th, -3113 B.C. 0.0.0.0.0 (4 Ahau) (ZERO YEAR)

Malmstrom AFB nuclear officers cheated on proficiency test

GREAT FALLS - Nearly three dozen Air Force officers in the nuclear force at Malmstrom Air Force Base were found to have cheated on a proficiency test, the Pentagon said on Wednesday.

"This was a failure of integrity," said Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James.

Major Laver, a public affairs spokeswoman at Air Force Global Strike Command at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, which oversees all ICBM bases in the Air Force, told KRTV that the cheating happened at Malmstrom Air Force Base and involved 34 nuclear officers.

The cheating was discovered as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug activity among officers.

The cheating reportedly happened between August and September 2013.
