Here's the bottom line, I believe a "Killshot" from the Sun is always possible...but it if happens, you won't have enough time to get on your computer much less worry about it...

We're talking a an off the scale X Class flare with a CME that is so huge it would reach Earth in 30 min or even less...

Actually it is believed the Carrington Event was the result of a massive multiple CME's caused by M and X class events over a few days...but then again that is just speculation.

It's only a matter of time before we experience another Carrington Event which are believed to happen at least every 300 years. There is another solar event on record in which early era light bulbs lit up without electricity in the early 1900's. There are some vague writtings that mention strange happenings similar to the Carrington Event during the Middle Ages.
