How to tell if you or someone is Socially Awkward?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!?!

you can't make even the simplest of conversations....even about the weather.
you freeze up and become self conscious about interacting with others, especially people you don't know very well.

you become overly demanding and impatient without giving people time to respond...lol

what the fuck!?! How the fuck? Is it a mental disorder or...??

You know how when you are in a group there's always one who's just not right? IF your group doesn't have one of those, it's you.

I mean some people say inappropriate things, but usually its because they are just dumb and stupid in the company of more socially graceful people that mind their thoughts before they speak out loud and are in a better socio-economic class.

Then there is the facebook hillbilly crowd, the dumb, socially clueless people that post distasteful, inappropriate, offensive material and don't care who sees it. They consistently spell things incorrectly and post stuff that clues everyone in that they have an IQ of a flea.

you can over come it. it is all about breath control, confidence and self acceptance.
when you start to get nervous, start counting your breath in and out. it helps to take yoga or meditation as well.

once you start to accept yourself, and actually like yourself, you will gain more confidence. the more confident you are, the less you will be awkward socially.

socially awkward would be like yelling 'beans and franks' really loud at a fancy restaurant.

Or if you are on facebook, posting something like "i have a foot fetish, mmmmmm" and then your wife posts a comment asking you to stop being weird, only for the person to post something even more offensive or strange and thus reinforcing that 'the boy ain't right' thing.

Socially Awkward is not being able to interact with others in a comfortable manner. You are probably trying too hard judging by this thread. Relax more. be happy around people and don't think about yourself so much. Get interested in others' lives. That's all they want to talk about anyway!

socially awkward people are potential terrorist and should be confined to mental institutions.

without exception all people who do not fit the norm should be incarcarated and on medication.

In the future we will have a good society without freaks or abnormal individuals.

in the prison and mental system we will have able proffessionals to re-align the freak individuals through medication, hard labor and electro shock therapy.

I just don't get it Guys..

some people are high self maintained which means they think a lot about what they do or say before they do or say it because they are very conscious about how people will react or respond. other people I are low self maintained meaning that they don't really care about what others think and so they don't think too much about what they do.

if you're self maintenance is too high then you may freeze up before you speak. instead of your mind clear and say whatever comes out. also when listening to somebody keep eye contact with them as long as you can. look away from time to time but don't be afraid of keeping their gaze.

making jokes is always good. I just have to be funny, so if you are trying to make a joke about what somebody is wearing it has to be funny and you will be forgiven about the offensiveness. if it isn't funny the person will be offended.
