Re: Dream interpretation request - my first dying dream
This morning, after I got my daughter off to school, i went back to sleep for about an hour and had this disturbing dream.

The dream begins with me taking a bath, but I am fully clothed. Black sweats, black hoodie and black boots (my usual lounge-around-the-house attire). I think to myself that its strange that I am wearing clothes in the tub. But, I am not in there to get clean. I must be soaking...

My daughter yells up from downstairs, "Mom?" (she is wondering where I am)
I yell down, "I am in the tub."

Next thing I see is my laptop perched on a table next to the tub. It begins to slide down and the right corner of it gets into the water. I grab it and immediately realize I am being electrocuted. I think "oh no" and "that was stupid to grab it".

I feel the electricity grab hold of me and I am dying and I should pound my fist on the side of the tub so my daughter can hear me, but I can't move. I feel myself dying, slipping into black, knowing that nobody will hear.

I wake.

sidenote: i am not a bath person. i am strictly a shower person.

this dream is giving me the creeps. any interpretation is appreciated. never had a dying dream before.
 Quoting: Salt

ok, interesting that you mention this.....
especially electrocution...
im noticing especially in los angeles...massive towers...electro towers....almost looks frankenstein (tesla)like........as you drive the freeways you'll notice it...at certain points they are being placed....like at the gates of cities.................well my point is....would they try to contain using towers such as these...say something does come into affect like rfid or someother method....

but from your dream it seems you are dead(in dream....)realizing how you died...when your daughter called out...you being upstairs.....

i've had dreams like other people driving with me as a passenger and being driven up wall like hills at scary speeds fearing that we would tip over and feeling out of control, etc. i have had dreams where godzilla like demons the size of 10 stories were stomping thru my town searching for me.

i have had many creepy dreams in my life. but never ever have i felt myself dying. i have felt scared out of my mind, but never had to face my own death in a dream

falling dreams are intense!

Have you ever dreamed about being in a plane/helicopter crash?

now that can be scary!...depending on if you are flying by yourself or solo....flying solo crashing tends to be less scary for some reason...

nah, nothing like that. it feels like something dark is going on in my inner- or sub-conscious life, like some faulty thinking or distorted thoughts about something and it is manifesting itself this way. almost like i have some deep, inner pain that i haven't dealt with and i would like to raise it to my consciousness so i can deal with it appropriately and cut her loose. knowhatimean?

My "crashing" dreams have been as me as a passenger in an airplane, but it was totally weird.

It was obvious we were going to crash, and the person next to me said "turn sideways." The next thing I know the plane was skidding down main street, and everyone was cheering, like it was a parade.

It sure didn't sound like a cleansing or happy stuff.......it sounded like a dire warning to me, a warning of danger involving the computer (internet activity).

It's pretty obvious....

Pray about it OP, ask the Lord to confirm for you.

i don't feel anything like it was an omen or warning. i did pray about it and the answer i got was "just let it go"

which is what i will do.

i don't think it was anything supernatural. i think it has something to do with my state-of-mind.

Re: Dream interpretation request - my first dying dream
Had a weird dream last night where I should have died twice ina row but somehow escaped death.

I was at some sort of resort overlooking the ocean. There was a walkway with railings winding down from the hillside back and forth all the way down to a busy road at the bottom.

I was looking for someone and thought id head down the walkway and see if they were down at the beach.

As I started down the walkway I had an "Uneasy" feeling..like I KNEW something was not right about it.
But I kept on walking..but slower..it felt unstable but I figured if I walked slow and didnt make any sudden moves it should be OK.

About a quater of the way down an old man at the top calls out and says for me to wait...I told him I cant wait because if I stand still the walkway will collapse. He comes running after me..shaking the walkway. I tell him to stop running as it will collapse..and his extra weight will probably collapse it anyway.

But he keeps running and passes me.

Just as he gets past me I "Feel" it about to happen. he stops..I look at him..he looks at me..and I say "We are about to die..thanks"

And just like that the walkway collapses....I feel us going into a freefall...surrended by a huge chunk of the walkway..I KNEW we were doomed.

But on the way down I concentrate..thinking myself to LIVE...and sure enough..the chunk of walkway we were on hits a steeply sloped part of the hill..covered in soft soil which absorbs the blow.

But its still a rough ride..we are flung way out into the middle of this busy road..upon which I had noticed a bus and some sort of tanker truck on as I fell heading our way.

We lay there on the road..scarcly beliving we were still alive as we look high above us to the resort way at the top. We had fallen about 300 meters.

But there we were...alive..UN hurt..just shaken surrounded by chunks of concrete and steel from the walkway.

BUT..the truck and the bus were upon us...I knew there was nothing we could do..the old man looked up..face forst..into the oncoming bus. Just before it hit him it hit a chunk of concrete and the front of the bus was flipped up by it just over him..missing him by an inch...it then rolled over so the back didnt get him either.

I looked up and saw this huge tanker sliding sideways...overturning directly on top of me. I distinctly remember saying in a matter of fact voice "So doomed" as the tanker toppled right towards me..I even saw which part of me would get squished...,my head..BUT..as it came down the piping that I has seen that LOOKED solid on the truck was flexible..and as it came down on my head it sort of bent around it and didnt squish it..and the rest of the truck just kept sliding away from me.

It SHOULD have killed me..had it fallen a foot earlier it would have.

SO>..these two certain deaths..DID NOT happen..but they were SO real and SHOULD have happenned.

Anyone got any ideas what they mean?

I didnt actually feel much stress.

I was rather calm actually.

Its like I KNEW I would be OK.

And also at tha part where the tank of the truck was coming down right on my head..there was no fear. I just accepted it and looked at it saying "So doomed"..like..ah well..gotta die somehow.

But even then I felt no actual fear..like I just KNEW it was all OK..even if I died.

Hi Salt, hi

A dream about dying doesn't always mean a physical death.

Black represents death--color most wear at funerals--you wearing black could mean the death of someone or something else.

Your daughter calling to you could symbolize your responsibility, but also a voice of security--you're not alone, a familiar voice is calling out to you.

Soaking in the tub--a need to relax, to soak away pain, wash away painful memories and start anew.

Computer next to you while you are in the tub could symbolize that you can't pull away from work, you need a break, but you can't seem to totally relax because of your responsibility.

Could be then that somebody's death left subconscious regrets because it left you with overwhelming responsibilities.

You want to start all over, cleanse yourself from past memories, but time is passing on and you can't fully let go of your responsibilities (daughter calling).

The computer also is symbolic of memory, your brain. Maybe the dream symbolizes your need of a cleansing, and death to a subconscious regret so you can move on.

Then again, maybe you were just tired, fell asleep and the movie playing in the background invaded your subconscious thoughts with some strange imagery that has no meaning at all.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

"This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, " says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:7
