cletus_jones (OP) User ID: 25193544 United States 04/16/2013 12:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | More about Cispa: [link to mashable.com] "The changes to the bill don’t address the major privacy problems we have been raising about CISPA for almost a year and a half," said Michelle Richardson" This bill gives the government essentially unlimited power to spy on you in the name of national security. |

cletus_jones (OP) User ID: 25193544 United States 04/16/2013 12:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) is a proposed law in the United States which would allow for the sharing of Internet traffic information between the U.S. government and certain technology and manufacturing companies. The stated aim of the bill is to help the U.S government investigate cyber threats and ensure the security of networks against cyberattack.[1] [link to en.wikipedia.org] Last Edited by cletus_jones on 04/16/2013 12:46 PM |
cletus_jones (OP) User ID: 25193544 United States 04/16/2013 12:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some critics saw CISPA as a second attempt at strengthening digital piracy laws after the Stop Online Piracy Act met huge opposition.[11] Intellectual property theft was initially listed in the bill as a possible cause for sharing Web traffic information with the government, though it was removed in subsequent drafts.[12] Last Edited by cletus_jones on 04/16/2013 12:47 PM |

They already use their unlimited power. Only way they could get more power spying, is if they hired everyone in the world to spy for them. Mind control, and like all their bogus laws, they fail. |

Wanna bet that when Obama-man mentioned yesterday that there were "no democrats or republicans, just Americans" that won't give him the surge he needs to pass this BS? |

Dapurps User ID: 37914373 Canada 04/16/2013 05:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a Cispa vote in CONgress tomorrow. We need to bring some attention to this before they pass it right under our noses! Quoting: cletus_jones [link to theanti-media.org] Nothing against you OP but more so for everyone here.. My 2 cents is that even if they pass it all that will happen is people will get pissed and post on GLP and that's as far as the majority of GLPers would go. My source: Happens every time Congress passes a bill. So my point is why do we need to bring it to attention before they pass it if nobody will do anything? "What you perceive to be becomes your reality." :ftwpanda: dapurps |

We can't stop trying Dapurps. That's the wrong attitude to have. I'd rather keep trying to stop the tide of surveillance and oppression. When we stop trying, we might as well just make the President a dictator, institute the NWO and be done with it. |

I don't think we ever started trying, most of us have admitted on the poll thread regarding how many hours we spend on the computer that we spend a lot of time online. It's an illusion that most on here are stuck on. We think were making a difference but we don't actually take action outside of the computer besides maybe talking to some people. We come on here day after day reading knew disturbing shit but so much is going on that yesterdays news is long forgotten. We just end up moving to another topic and let shit get worse. There's more sheeple on here then awake people. Last Edited by Dapurps on 04/16/2013 06:06 PM "What you perceive to be becomes your reality." :ftwpanda: dapurps |
