They aren't going to evict you, and if they do, you've got a great civil lawsuit you're guaranteed to win. if i didn't provide the info, they told me it was a lease violation and non-compliance could get me evicted. so i gave them a copy of a support modification that took place a couple years ago. i did NOT give them a copy of my divorce decree. |

I am trying to move out of here, and out of the state, too, quite frankly. But, today was so upsetting i am beside myself with irritation. They are demanding to see proof that my child support is court ordered, and even asked to see my divorce decree outlining visitation with my kid, and other family agreements outlined in the decree (of which i told them no, they have no business asking for that information). I signed a year lease, have been here 6 months, and they keep demanding to see more and more information that has NOTHING to do with a rental agreement. I am not on any public assistance or section 8, and pay max rent. Are they allowed to do that? i am so pissed i can't even see straight. that is bizarre. deny them everything. they have no right. but why would they even do this in the 1st place is the weirdest 🦋 |

Probably looking for you to break your lease---its a game. Just smile and say your lawyer will look into it for them....you will get back to them in a while. My only guess is that they want to make sure you are "making" the money you claimed you make.it's easy to prove your income on your job,but if that wasn't enough to qualify for the place maybe they want proof of the child support to see that you do qualify? |

It is none of their business and they have no authority to have this middleperson ask for this. You signed the lease, you have been resident there for six months and by taking residence you accepted the terms and by letting you live there they accepted the terms. Do not give 'them' anything and report them to whomever you went trough in the lease. |

My only guess is that they want to make sure you are "making" the money you claimed you make.it's easy to prove your income on your job,but if that wasn't enough to qualify for the place maybe they want proof of the child support to see that you do qualify? they can't do that. they verify it at lease application. once its verified its done. they cant keep asking you to verify throughout your lease term. |

Is your ex contacting the lease office and asking permission to go into your apartment? are you attempting to break the lease early? If they verified your income already then there is no need, yet it sounds like someone dropped the ball and didn't do their job in the first place. You should have had to supply all that prior to moving in and signing a lease. The state you live in sucks, it is also my state. Sounds like the apartment complex can make more money renting to people who receive state assistance. |
