Re: Any alternative therapy for Lyme disease?
They normally put you on anti biotics because you have a foreign harmful bacteria in your body.

The goal it to kill it or weaken it so your body can finish it off.

But you should also take a probiotic.

Because an Anti Biotic will kill both the beneficial and the harmful bacteria in your body.

A probiotic if you dont know is a blend of beneficial bacteria that live in your digestive system.

You need them to be healthy, they do alot to help you.

Just like plants have a Symbiosis with Fungus and Bacteria we have the same harmony within us.

Take the probiotic because it will help your Immunity.

Continue using it for awhile after you stop the anti biotic.

That way you will have a full inoculation of bacteria in your digestive track.

Re: Any alternative therapy for Lyme disease?
Beneficial bacteria also help to fight off harmful invaders.

So while you are taking the anti biotic you have to continue to dose yourself with a wide blend of many Colony Forming Units of Bacteria.

That way if they are being killed off by the anti biotics they are always getting replaced.

A product that comes to mind is Bio Lumen Nightly Essence by youngevity.

But their are others iam sure, iam just not that familiar with all of them.

I know a man who cured himself with an ayervedic supplement called Triphala. He said Triphala is a mix of 3 bitter fruits and the way it works is it removes the mucous covering that the disease organism hides in so the immune system can kill it.

Some farmers here have actually become immune to the disease.

Over time the body builds up resistance to tick bites and the inflammation abates.

Yes there are many alternative treatments. Antibiotics aren't always necessary.

Start by researching Dr. Deitrich Klinghardt and Byron White Formulas.

If you are not wanting to talk antibiotics then you would need to look at the herbs and oils that attack and kill bacteria in your body.

here is a site with some of those herbs and oils [link to www.anniesremedy.com]

I still have it (5 years). After intense antibiotic treatment I felt better but still not right. Now I use herbals that destroy bacteria and other things to build up my system daily. When first hit with it I was unable to move from the bed. One of the worst things to ever infect my body.

If I had known what it was right off the hop I would be most likely fine just from the antibiotics but it took to long for diagnoses.

I would not suggest going without antibiotics but if someone does they better blast as much herbal bacteria fighters into their system.

Have you been tested for co-infections as well? These are important to address.

Faith, Yoga, Reiki energy healing, acupuncture to name a few avenues. The biggest thing is to stay positive that you will defeat this...I know that sounds pretty silly if you are not trained in Faith based healing...but it's not a joke at all. Your ability to believe that you will overcome this IS THE KEY...Meditate and pray everyday and thank God for the opportunity to experience this and allow him the opertunity to show you just how loving he can be...Many times when things look to be super "BAD" in our lives we are just being tested in our Faith...

Take a hard look at the life you live and see if there isn't anything you could be doing better...fitness, healthier eating habits, poor frame of mind, ect. Anyone of those things or a combination of can contribute and you may identify other things you could be doing better! Life is about seeing the "Sin" learning from it and having the Faith to grow, change, and become better from it all! God Bless you on your journey and give all of this to God and Jesus Christ...they will not let you down if you are true in your giving.

Re: Any alternative therapy for Lyme disease?
Good luck to you. My husband has been infected three times now - thus our move out of Georgia - he couldn't stand all the ticks.

The first time he got it the doctor wasn't familiar with treating Lyme's since there wasn't a lot of it in our area of the state. He prescribed the correct antibiotics but not a large enough dose or for long enough of a period and it didn't get rid of it. Evidently there are three strains - one which is relatively common and easier to get rid of and two more serious/difficult to tread. He had two of the three strains but I'm not sure which ones.

Well, one day I get a call from him. He was out of state on business and he called me from an ambulance to let me know they were taking him to the hospital and where his truck was parked. At that point, they thought he was having a heart attack (he thought the Lyme's was gone). Well, it turns out it was a severe gall bladder attack. It seems that the gall bladder is a very common organ for the Lyme's to attack. He had the gall bladder taken out and he was put on strong antibiotics which still didn't knock it out and he ended up with IV antibiotics daily for weeks. This got rid of the Lyme's but caused some peripheral nerve damage.

The other two times he was right on it and he got rid of it quickly. It helped that he had the assistance of an infectious disease specialist to guide him through treatment: Dr. Rayapudi

Don't take this lightly - it can cause you a world of problems if you let it go.
