schools now days suck with the power they have, one time in middle school me and this guy got dropped of at our bus stop, we got in a fight in my yard right after, they still claimed it was school property and i got suspended -.-..

I am a single father of 4 with full custody. My oldest just got a scholarship to college and is living on campus (full ride). I am by no means a bad father and will defend myself to the end.

Honestly, OP, I'd be worried about what's going on that is causing them to freak out. Maybe your daughter has been abused and is afraid to tell you? Maybe she's pregnant and afraid to tell you. Many options. If you aren't doing anything wrong, I'd at least be open to talking to them. I don't know why they were asking for your SS. That's weird to me. But dealing with them the way you have makes you look like the bad guy. Did you ask them why they wanted to talk to your daughter?

The best thing would be to teach her to blend in. Im not sure what kind of problems she is having but if its about her point of views then just teach her to pretend to be one of the majority.

Get a lawyer. Seriously. They wouldn't ask your permission if they didn't need it.

But if some serious shit is going on then get her help. If your involved, get away.

You should, this is how they keep stealing our freedoms, gradually, testing our boundaries, seeing what will get us riled up, and what we just ignore or let go. That is why i'm teaching my son at home, even though it's still part of the public school system, they don't bother us.

Do not be bullied -- talk to your child -- tell her not to speak to them and tell the school that you do not grant permission for either of them to speak with your child --- the state is only as powerful as WE allow them to be.... always remember that -

Just make sure you hire an attorney who has experience dealing with those type cases. And you should be able to at least find out from your kid what they talked to them about, even if the school won't tell you.

This happened to me.

Turned out my daughter wanted everyone to feel sorry for her so she started talking about being abused. It was just to a few friends at first, but it got to some teacher and social services were called. Unfortunately getting angry and not cooperating just reinforces their suspicions. Instead of just coming clean my daughter kept adding to the fire because of all the attention. She only recanted when it got to the point they were going to remove my kids from the house.

I neven realized how delusional she was. At one point we got into an arguement. She went to her room and punched herself for a while until she had a big ass bruise. She then called the cops and said I hit her. Fortunately my wife was home and backed my version.

Got off topic. Just work with the workers. You never can tell about some of these parents. If you have nothing to hide don't act like you have something to hide. Yeah they should go through proper channels but hypothetically a kids life could be at stake. Would you drag your feet if it was your job?

Talk to your child and assure them they will not get in any trouble by telling you what if anything is going on that would justify this action by them.Make it clear to the school and social services you have contacted an attorney and you will follow through with legal action if they dont disclose what this is about and what they said to your child.

If they refuse pull your child out of that school and threaten home schooling if they continue to harass you and your child.

And I will. The school didn't get their way and now they are lashing out. The social worker was befuddled when I told him to get the court order. As if he had never heard those words before. My freedoms will never be taken as long as there is breath in me. I will be consulting a lawyer tomorrow he is both a family lawyer and civil rights lawyer.

I will bring the school and this system to their knees. I will make them beg for forgiveness. I will never settle, I will never rest and I will never falter.

I still believe in what America used to stand for.

I think you have a legal issue with both the school and social services, because they both crossed the line when it came to your privacy, and you could come out of this with not only a good settlement, but if it goes through court and you win it will set a precedent, and send a LOUD message to crappy goobermint workers only looking to invade your privacy.

Op should have a legal issue but everybody in that school is a mandated reporter teachers, counselors, school nurse and even the bus driver. Something compelled them to call social services and now they must do there job. You have the right to know why social services was called find that out the real reason and go from there.

You can sue the entire district for their MANDATING non-professionals to do the job of professionals, who the hell qualified a bus driver as a child psychologist? According to statictics, these American teachers are almost dead last in education, SO, that tells me they're doing a shitty job in the classrooms, now WHY are they trying to take on another job when they do piss poor work at their day job?!

Feels like there are details missing... Why is the school counselor initiating contact with your daughter? What is your daughter doing during this process? Willingly talking with the counselor?

Almost read that as Northern Korea area... seems like that would only be a marginally worse situation.

About 25 years ago this same thing happened to me. My oldest daughter was being talked to by a teacher cause she did something stupid and the teacher told her to talk to me and my wife about it. She said she wouldn't because we would hit her.

Now I admit I have swatted my kids on the butt to make sure they grow up to be decent human beings. In fact, all three of them have. Still,

When I got home that day social services had already backed my wife into a corner demanding to know why we beat our children. We explained to them we didn't. We let them look at the kids and by some damn miracle none of them even had a bruise. Being kids they were prone to run into crap or fall off stuff and get bruises, like all kids do. They were laughing and looked like angels that day.

The social workers said if there were no more reports for six months the records would be destroyed and I never saw them again. I have no idea if the records were destroyed or not but we all went on with our lives just the same.

My advice to you is give this a chance to simply go away. If you have done nothing wrong there is a good chance it will, as it did in my case. Don't rock the boat and for Gods sake don't beat the kid.

If you lawyer up at this point and start giving them hell, they will have no choice but to respond and do so with a vengeance.

Give the next person the chance to lawyer up and take their attention off you. Once that happens you are free of them.

I cannot believe people are such cowards here! first of all, what kind of problems does your daughter have? Is she attention seeking? What are the reasons the school is giving you?

If you know you have done nothing wrong, then no, I wouldn't back down. I'd fight that shit with everything I have. I would not let them bully me. and I would get that girl to tell the truth once and for all about her problems.
