Since ISON is so small, what's the big deal?
Comet ISON is said to be only 3 miles wide.

[link to www.cnn.com]

So, where's the doom?

And how can anyone think it's Nibiru? Nibiru is meant to be in the range of Jupiter size.

Re: Since ISON is so small, what's the big deal?
ISON is at least 50,000Km in diameter!

Where's the evidence?

Well there are many threads here that talk about it and then there's NASA and all the other professional astronomers here in the UK that won't talk about it?!

I've written to several large circulation newspapers myself about ISON and it's impending pass of Mars but with no interest shown by any of them including the Daily Mail and the Guardian!!

My information, for which I do need independent confirmation, seems to indicate that when ISON appears in our backyard it will be the size of Saturn if not bigger!

Thread: How BIG will ISON look in the sky at it's closest approach to Earth? Take a L@@K and see!!!

Great. Thank you! This was the kind of doom I was hoping for!

I just can't shake this feeling that there's not much point in doing anything anymore. I have always followed my intution and it has always led me correctly before, but now I'm confused - it's like all it says is "wait".

In the article you say the trail is 50,000 km. How big is the actual object?

Then again - there are those images that show it's got "wings" or is in 3 pieces - so, yes, there are things we are not being told. Doom on!

It's the coma of the comet that's 50,000km across, not the comet itself. The coma is a diffuse cloud of gas that won't affect anything.

Or, is it "all eyes on ISON", so we forget that Nibiru is still out there somewhere?

ISON'S CORE is at least 50,000km in diameter!!

What, you think a Comet with a core of 4.8km is going to command an accolade like "Once in a Civilisation!!!"

If you do then you really shouldn't be on here you should be sitting in front of your TV just like you've been told too!

In my original data it appeared that this WAS indeed the size of the coma! Then it was noted that it's brightness wasn't increasing as much as it should be, therefore indicating that my initial statement was incorrect as it must have a solid core of at least 50,000km diameter.

Recent images from Belgium however now place its overall size at around 40 arc minutes, making ISON approximately 120,000km in size!

As I have said, this data must be proved independently of NASA or the Lemming Master and all channels that I have tried in order to obtain such verification have proved fruitless so far!

I am currently in contact with a FRAS professional astronomer but he is reluctant to talk about ISON?!

How can I be a shill if I'm trying to prove that ISON isn't the fluffy bunny NASA says it is? How can I be a shill when it's true that NONE of the main UK newspapers, Radio or Television channels are carrying ANYTHING about ISON?

Yes, there are millions of pages on the Internet about it, but WHY would you look if you've never heard of it YOU MUPPET!!!

Re: Since ISON is so small, what's the big deal?
i just had a thought about ison

what IF it breaks up, just prior to perihelion? Say into a hundred, or so pieces. Every single one of them will have less mass than the intact comet, so will be far more affected by the sun's gravity, and will be whipped around the sun at a far tighter angle than the intact comet would. correct?

Now, in mid December it is flying directly over the earth, at a distance of 39 million miles, on the way back out of the solar system, BUT, if this hypothetical break up were to occur, could smaller but still devastating chunks be slung shot around the sun directly into our orbit?

if so, then surely the chances of impact would shorten dramatically?

I know it's an unlikely scenario, but is it POSSIBLE, in anyone's opinion?

It's either not that small, or they lied about its trajectory (meaning either it's gonna throw some major pressure cooker in our direction, or it's coming kamikaze style)

It's possible it could break up, even likely but the pieces would continue on the same path as the original body, of that I'm sure!

I would be more concerned with what it's pushing ahead of it, as current meteor activity is increasing rapidly!
