Do the finger test or your pictures are worthless.

Your powerline picture suggests that the finger test will fail and that it's just a flare. Video will be more helpful in this regard than still images, if your camera is capable of it. If you think you can claim it's "behind" the power line simply because you say so... well, you already lost all credibility here ( [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] ) so don't pretend like you can now rely on your credibility.

Pic 4: wire is BEHIND the yellow dot, isn't? And there's another dot a bit above and to the left of the yellow dot, although way smooth. So, at least for this one, I'd say it may be a lens flare - occurred between the cam sensor and the outside, to be in front of the energy wire... The only place between these points is the lens...

I almost forgot to thank you for pointing out "another dot a bit above and to the left of the yellow dot, although way smooth". While that is a keen observation and VERY important what does that have to do with "Big Foot", err I meant, "lens flare"?

Genuinely confusing, b/c at first you say "wire is behind yellow dot" = Not True

Then you appear to make some connection between 2nd dot and lens flare. What about a 2nd dot makes you think "Big Foot" I mean lens flare? Is there a "lens flare" rule that says you cannot capture more than one celestial object in a pic? The reason I ask, is because I believe there a 2 objects. One very prominent (i.e. planet) and 2nd, less prominent (i.e. moon of said planet).

So if I post picture #5 with BOTH objects, sun, clouds, horizon line and NO power lines, then what?

And what about picture #6 with BOTH objects, sun, clouds, horizon line, No power lines AND "contrail"/"chemtrails" (I don't care what you call them, the "new" ones that turn into clouds didn't exist for the 1st 35 years of my life and I have lived near some of the busiest airports AND military installations in the world)...then what?

I didn't claim it, the photo proves it as well as SEVERAL lens flare "tests" at the time of photographing. Light shining on an object from one side/direction, block light and object "appears to disapper", now "block" from other side and object doesn't "disapper" imagine that. I have a better one, no youtube needed, put a small marble on the floor, turn off the lights until you can't see the marble, get Geo to get his flashlight and shine it on the marble, then get Boxer to block the flashlight with a piece of shit metal (use a welder's mask), if you can't see the marble, it is not there. It is marble flare mixed with swamp gas. Then leave the flashlight on, but move shit metal to side opposite flashlight, if you can see the marble, it is not there. It is marble flare mixed with swamp gas.

My favorite finger test...place your middle finger in front of your face, alternate one-eye views of your finger, if your finger "appears to move around" you might have a nervous condition.

So Astro, let's get this on the record--Is the power line in front or behind BOTH "objects"? Amateur Astronomers around the world want to know.

Where is the object....Ummmm, you said you saw it above the goalposts. But don't fret, I gotta whole lotta more of where those came from. And they only get better. What you got for me on that winged planet? I am doing the un-thinkable, I am telling you that I theorize/believe that the 1983 article was about the "winged planet", the picture shown and the upcoming pictures are of the "winged planet"...what are you offering to the thread?

Wolf Camera? What are you even talking about?

I would have to say it would mostly resemble Venus with some type of flaring effect or a winged planet, but I've never seen a winged planet. Google images were not real consistent. I did see that some people were calling Venus the winged planet in SOHO images however.

Planetary Lens Flare Photo Challenge...$100 REAL Reward!!!

Game on folks:

Simply post your BEST lens flare photo that looks like a PLANET...Winner Get's the Money.

Of course the images won't be exact, so please indicate which planet you are submitting...I would hate to give away $100 for a little "white dot" and you are like, "dawg, that's pluto, where's the Benjamin?"

Here are the planets (for the purpose of this self-funded scientific/photographic contest)

1)Merury
2)"Old" Venus
3) Earth
4) Mars
5)Jupiter
6) Saturn
7) Uranus
8) Neptune
9) Pluto
10) "New" Venus/"winged planet"/Planet X (as in 10) Planet X (as in unknown)

Colors, Shape, Relative Size will be considered in judging. FYI, "little white dot" is mars, might not get you the chicken dinner.

Bonus Reward: If your "lens flare" also includes a moon (extra $100)

Bonus Reward II: If your "lens flare" shows planet, moon and tail, trail, debris...(extra $100).

That's $300 from a very credible poster who delivers what he says.

Small Print: Please provide an illustration of your planet for comparison's sake. Most of all, don't tell my wife or son if you win the money, as this is a non-family sponsored promotion.

AstroDog,

To be clear, I did not and am not saying the object is in front of the "object". Just the opposite, the wire is in front and the big object is behind, which is why you can CLEARLY SEE both

try this more analogous HORIZONTAL test....Go outside on a sunny day with Geo. Have Geo hold up a piece of black thread (obviously more analogous than a big fat finger), make sure Geo is between you and the sun, not sure how you could get the sun to be between you and Geo, but with you all anything is possible. Here's the proof...find the sun, should be easy with your GLP Astronomy Degree. If you see the whole black thread (you know the wire) and you STILL see the big ass object in the sky BEHIND/Further away (you know the sun/planet)...then you are not on fire b/c the wire is fortunately a lot closer than the object (in this example the sun)

It’s getting harder and harder to understand you. However, if I had to pick out an excellent example of a lens/filter flare I would actually pick the image you just posted with the flare in front of the power line. It is a fine example and it probably looks the most like Venus in terms of size and color, but such comparisons seem irrelevant.

Additionally, I am not interested in the $300. In fact I urge you not to take any family funds away from your wife and child to use in such a contest. This is one of the reasons I post on this site. I have a real problem when an individual lets their misguided beliefs adversely affect their family. I hope you will reconsider. I wouldn’t even let you give me that money.

He has installed three different sky chart apps on his iPhone. If he cannot get one to work, chances are he is doing something wrong. My guess is that he has location services turned off on his phone or he isn't calibrating it correctly.

Naw, bro...you said he confirmed your baseless assumption that he doesn't know how to use it. According to you, "chances are....". According to me, chances are the app isn't working. Who knows, maybe it's like the time when Google Sky wasn't working and CROPPED out a perfect rectangle (with 4 90 degree angles) of some INTERESTING coordinates. What you know about that, Sethy? My theory is, the CROP out was to remove "the object of this thread", but of course you can PROVE me wrong, right? Can't you? Maybe Astro asked Morrison at an ISONerd conference. Maybe, right?
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Why does it not surprise me that you use "google sky" to access sky survey data? Google sky is not the source of that data, and the "missing rectangle" can be easily accessed by going to the primary source.
[link to archive.stsci.edu]
The "missing image" is from the POSSII/UKSTU survey, which was conducted with photographic film plates which were then scanned and digitized.

Using that "missing data" I have created my own color image of the "missing region" from Google sky as well as some of the surrounding region.

Gotta run to Starbucks, can't wait to see your answer about picture #4 and your Lens Flare Planet pic. I can assure you, if the one picture you posted is your "contest entry", you won't win.
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Like Seth, you couldn't give me the money if you tried. I am not interested in participating in your "contest." I am interested in you answering my question.

No, your buddies called him dumb, but you are lying right now...His reports does not CONFIRM that he is misusing the app. His report is the app is malfunctioning. Can you prove that the app is NOT malfunctioning? Only in shill world does "App isn't accurate" = "I don't know how to use my app"
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

He has installed three different sky chart apps on his iPhone. If he cannot get one to work, chances are he is doing something wrong. My guess is that he has location services turned off on his phone or he isn't calibrating it correctly.
 Quoting: Setheory 41894184

 Quoting: Dr. Astro

Wrong again, don't use Google Sky, used it once in my life and saw what millions saw. Did I miss your PROOF of the "Study"? By the way, David Morrison of NASA disagrees with your explanation. Why is that? And your reproduce the missing data was actually done by the MicroSoft sky app after the Google Sky was exposed. And the Microsoft app simply filled in the EXACT same rectangle with some cut and paste job. Seams and 4 90 degree angles were obvious in the "fix". At least they tried. Furthermore, if/and when you knew how to turn on the infrared feature THE WHOLE FUCKING SYSTEM appeared. Just like magic. But you know this "object" is dark and cold, don't you?

And oh what question did you ask...I answer all of them.

You post the "finger" video, but I am being cryptic? Really?
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Yes, you are, for reasons I already explained. The finger video is not cryptic, it is a straightforward simple test that anyone can understand.

Now answer my question, what is the "object" in my photo?
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

The audacity of you to ask a question about "your photo" when you STILL haven't answered the question about a picture posted last night....makes you look like, well you know.

Astro rules don't work here.

Answer question, then ask question...That's how this thread is going down...with or without the resident expletive.

We good now? Wire in front or behind?
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

I already explained why the entire paradigm is wrong, you didn't do the finger test. I'm not going to play your stupid game, I don't know what part of that you don't understand.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

You are losing it in front of EVERYBODY...This thread is now EPIC. So let's get the Astro Rules Right...You go scrounge for a youtube video of video being shot, but I took pictures. You then bless us with the Finger Test....So yours is a test, but mine is a game. I gave 2 different examples that people could try at home, but they are games? LOL!!! I want a video by you of the BLACK THREAD VS. SUN TEST? It's a test, NOT A GAME. I explained how to conduct the test are you smart enough to execute or not?

And where is the thread that you explained how the Flashlight/Marble TEST is NOT analogous to finger test? Back from Starbucks, but I missed that one.

Man, it's tough, but here is a better picture and I do have more, but understand the resolution is fine on the camera and when saved and viewed with a real pic viewer...The degradation comes when you import to these bullshit free image hosting sites.

Pic #4, it's getting better now.

Are you posting a picture of a lens/filter flare that you will later compare with another photo?

This isn't your object is it?
 Quoting: Setheory 22372062

No, and don't understand what you are talking about. I am posting random pictures of the sky in Atlanta on different days, from different locations, at different times of day/night...Whatever you see, is what you see and you and everyone else sees. You will have to reconcile that with whatever you want. I can't do that for you. Got those Lens Flare Planet pics, yet? $300 cash waiting for you.
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

 Quoting: Setheory 22372062

What did you not understand? Use the "quote" system and I will clarify. For the record, lots of people are watching this thread, you are the ONLY one who has said they can't understand. Nice job.

Oh and thanks for being concerned about me and money and my family, but you dumb, presumptuous expletive...The family part is a joke. And oh by the way, will you pay for my upgrade if I can provide a near identical match to one of the TEN planets listed? That is not rhetorical, because I'm gong to be here for awhile now.

You contradicted yourself with your prior statement as well as in the very sentence that contained your denial. As others have pointed out, you are becoming increasingly incoherent. If you knew what you were talking about, you would have gone to the primary source material after finding the problem with Google sky. You didn't.
Did I miss your PROOF of the "Study"?
 Quoting: lyingidiot

I posted the picture of the "missing region" as well as the site from which you can download the raw data for yourself.
By the way, David Morrison of NASA disagrees with your explanation. Why is that?
 Quoting: lyingidiot

No he doesn't. You are such a lying prick.
"7. Can you explain the fact that the area at (5h 53m 27s, -6 10’ 58”) has been blackened out in Google Sky and Microsoft Telescope? People suggest that these have been blackened out because those are the co-ordinates where Nibiru is located at present.

Several people have asked me about this blank rectangle in Orion in Google Sky, or another similar blank in Virgo [link to www.2012hoax.org] Google Sky and other Internet maps are compilations of astronomical photos of the sky. Many of them are photos taken more than 50 years ago in the Palomar Sky Survey; others are more recent from the Sloan Digital Survey. The problem is that many people think Google sky is a live view of the sky today. They write to me about searching Google Sky for Nibiru or other rogue objects, but even if these were real they would not be visible in these old data. The entire premise that Google Sky can be used to find images of Nibiru, or that blanks indicate that the authorities are hiding important images of Nibiru, is wrong. "
[link to web.archive.org]

He doesn't go into the level of detail I do and actually retrieve the "missing section" from the Palomar Sky Survey (really it was UKSTU data, but collectively the two are usually referred to simply as POSSII since UKSTU is a sister telescope to the Oschin Schmidt). Nevertheless, he's saying the same thing, it's old data from pre-existing sky surveys.
And your reproduce the missing data was actually done by the MicroSoft sky app after the Google Sky was exposed. And the Microsoft app simply filled in the EXACT same rectangle with some cut and paste job. Seams and 4 90 degree angles were obvious in the "fix".
 Quoting: lyingidiot

Well then they did not reproduce what I did. I simply went to the original source data and downloaded the film plates to make the color image myself, without simply pasting over the hole in their all-sky mosaic.
At least they tried. Furthermore, if/and when you knew how to turn on the infrared feature THE WHOLE FUCKING SYSTEM appeared. Just like magic. But you know this "object" is dark and cold, don't you?

 Quoting: lyingidiot

Look above for my question about the image of the "winged planet" I provided. You didn't answer me. The "infrared feature" is simply data from a different sky survey, generally Google and Microsoft use IRAS data for that "layer." What is it you claim to be seeing in the IRAS data and where?

Re: There REALLY IS something strange in western sky around sunset...!!!
AstroDog,

To be clear, I did not and am not saying the object is in front of the "object". Just the opposite, the wire is in front and the big object is behind, which is why you can CLEARLY SEE both
 Quoting: 3rdEyeE

Are you blind or just plain crazy?
[link to img802.imageshack.us]
That is a magnified view of your image, no resampling, and you can clearly see that your flare obscured the wire.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

Now THIS is what I've been waiting for. You see, in one of my PROFESSIONS (meaning I get PAID to do it), we have an industry saying, "The tape don't lie" (we work and operate off of high quality videos, but for our conversation we will use... "The picture don't lie").

1) You magnified the picture to a pixel blur--Why? This picture was pretty close to the power line. No need to magnify at all. Couple of zooms showed me CLEARLY solid black line all the way though. And oh by the way, I still had Sun, horizon, "object", "moon" @ 10/11 o'clock from the object (sorry I don't have coordinates, and cosmic measurements, that's your "specialty"). Your picture has NONE OF THAT...nice job in maintaining "control" and "test" integrity.

2) The fact that you used your picture and "clearly see" anything is the single greatest indictment of your: eyes, motive or BOTH.

Here are both pics, so the WORLD can see or at least the GLP community that you all try to compare to the WORLD's population when providing Shill Math lessons.

Now Let's Go!!!

You need some new "weapons", Telescopic pics of power lines are laughable or embarrassing. You may want your handlers to ASSign you to a different thread. Like, for real, dude.
