EBT card not working

Mine is working perfectly fine right now and has been.

Don't know if the card will work in a store, but when youy call the EBT hotline in Maine, you will be told that the system is down, and to call back later.

Funny, a few days ago, a little local grocery store that I go to had a sign on the door that they were unable to process debit/credit cards and EBT cards. They were also unable to accept WIC vouchers. Related? or not....

Do we have confirmation of states that are up and running?

I just made several calls around the Midwest states:

1. Confirmed down in Cincinnati, Ohio as well. Finneytown Kroger said "satellite is down & EBT is down all over the state". Also "has been down since about 11am".

2. Confirmed UP at Marsh on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana (this is about 2 hours northwest of Cincinnati), and the manager acted like it was a completely off-the-wall question, and confirmed that it was up & running with no problems.

3. Called the Kroger in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Down for Ohio cards, UP for Indiana cards. The woman there said that they were "having problems with out of state EBT cards, but the in-state cards were working fine." I asked which out-of-state cards, and she said Ohio. I asked about Michigan and she wasn't sure. I asked if she knew what was going on and she said "I called the EBT contact number, and it's all automated... and it basically said 'we can't help you at this time' and hung up on me, haha. So I don't know WHAT is going on... I think some satellites are down or something".

4. Newport, Kentucky (basically part of Cincinnati, but just across the Ohio River). EBT System Down for Ohio and Kentucky. He said people were ok when I asked if any customers were getting upset.

5. Redford, Michigan (Detroit suburb)- DOWN. Said it's been down since around 10AM, and that it was working fine, then just down. She said some people were getting upset, but they still had plenty of customers.

Pay back is a bitch. They shot this video at THAT wally world. I could not step foot in that store for months after their management allowed this glorification of their getting rich off the system. Off the housing projects right off the parking lot of that location. Walmart on the edge of the PJS make it as easy as possible.

Bull crap a glitch or an upgrade, they can't get their story straight and upgrades are never done Saturday mornings.

Eric Trist (September 11th, 1909-1993)

Trist believed that by around 1963, the world had entered into a period of what he termed "Permanent Social Turbulence" that could be used to manipulate the entire world and remake it to a predetermined condition - a new paradigm.
