Quoting: nli 24288365 here is the video if you dont have the book: [link to www.youtube.com] water is more precious than LAND. I've read several times that water is the REAL reason we went into Libya - that it is sitting on an underground lake bigger than the Great Lakes on the US/Canada border. And of course, we - or more correctly the people who run this country (the "good guys") want/need to have control over it!! [link to www.bundestag.de] and since the argument of the EPA is based on all water being connected deep down in the earth, the next logical step would be to place it under the control of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), no? So we have precedent that it's not a human right coupled potential with central control. |

Over the past few years I've watched so many things change in this country to the tune of a negative effect. Last week in my area we had two pretty large power plants shut down due to the "War on Coal." This after the power company just spent nearly a billion dollars on one only two short years ago to bring it up to then current EPA specs. Over 400 hardworking people are now unemployed. Is coal really that dirty? Yeah, there's people who have developed cancers of various sorts who have lived around the plant their whole lives. There's also people who've developed cancer very early in life who never even lived close to a coal fired plant. Oh yeah, it's global warming and in 1500 freakin' years it may effect mankind. Well, I wish we could appropriately ask the victims of Chernobyl and Fukushima how awesome their "green energy" is! I just bought a new truck, a 2013 Ram Turbo Diesel. It gets about 17 MPG. Just a few short years ago the same new truck with the same engine, transmission, and everything was getting well over 20. I know people who own them and come up with 23 MPG. The difference? My new one has about $10000 worth of emissions bullshit that makes it "clean." How is a truck that gets about 35% worse fuel economy any cleaner? Oh yeah, it doesn't matter because now the government is reaping an added bonus to their agenda which is more revenue from fuel tax. If you touch that emissions equipment on YOUR own vehicle, it's a felony charge. As bad as going out, raping or murdering someone. In the governments eyes, probably worse. All those terrible stories you heard about the communist Soviet Union. Well compare them to modern day America. It's looking pretty much the same. You can purchase something, pay your taxes on it, yet you still don't own it. |

We have a lot of state inspectors here looking for people who collect rain water as if they don't have anything better to do. They complain about puddles in my yard and accuse me of collecting rain water because of them. I don't think it is so much different than most states already do. They are trying to protect our water for the future. Upstream might be in a state that doesn't protect it as well as your state? This lets all the rules be the same and try to save water for our grandkids. They used to let people build homes right on the lakes around here. While I love to be right there on the water, anyone can see the problems with septic tanks, and the ground doesn't perk well.... So all and all, if you get into it, seems like a good idear to me?? Besides, this is just a draft released for discusion I believe?? here it is, read for yourself. [link to water.epa.gov] "The EPA's Science Advisory Board released for public comment a draft scientific report called, 'Connectivity of Streams and Wetlands to Downstream Waters: A review and Synthesis of the Scientific Evidence,'" Taylor told commissioners at their meeting last week. "This draft report synthesizes more than 1,000 peer-reviewed pieces of scientific literature about how smaller, isolated water bodies are connected to larger ones and represents the state-of-the-art science on the connectivity and isolation of waters in the United States." The final version of the report will serve as the basis for a joint EPA and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rule making, she said. Those guidance regulations will clarify the jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act. +100 |

Volcanic eruptions put out hundreds of times more stuff than coal burning does, and you never hear about that, do you?- wonder why? In Clearfield, Pennsylvania, the city dump spreads its pollution all over the town, so they blame it on the grid. |
