It was so bad one day,I went to clear my sinus's out and there was a popping in the top part of the ear drum. Really really bad pain I got. Went back to the doctors, he thought I had a collapsed ear drum. I thought I'd ripped a nerve or something. Went for an MRI scan to have a deeper look and nothing showed up. Now a year and a half later with pain every day from it, its a pain in the arse! It still feels like my ears are clogged but theres very little wax inside them, its probably some shady virus that just wont go away! Looks like I'll have to invest in my own damn cures! I might just give that stuff a try... |

I should had used rubbing alchohol in the ear when I first got water trapped in there too late now rubbing alchohol will evaporate the water that is trapped in the ear but it won't kill the infection if you have a bacterial infection (home remedies - vinegar, olive oil, oil of oregano) If that doesn't kill it - it might be a fungal infection like I have I have this anti-fungal in lotion (liquid drops) not cream - see a doctor and ask him about it |

Then squirt some warm water in it several times with a baby buld syringe till the chunks come out. You might have to do that a few times but it will be very effective. Plus it tickles and sounds like rice crispies. Another alternative is ear candeling. |

badearz User ID: 1262753 United States 12/21/2012 07:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just started using these Lotrinim 1% drops last night at the recommendation of my otolarangologist (ear nose throat Dr.) and they burn and are so extremely painful that I actually cried. I do have a perforated ear drum from the length and severity of my infection, so I'm thinking that the drops are burning the inner ear. Anyway, I have to discontinue the treatment and call the Dr. because this is inhumane torture! I don't know what other treatment is available. :( |

You might want to try drying out your ears with warm air (such as a blow dryer). The idea is restore PH balance. Using drops kills the infection, but keeps your ear very wet. |

I would guess they would likely suggest oil of oregano. I take it at first sign of infections and it can be used topically and internally both. Live life to the fullest, laugh often, never let fear run your days. |

SaveUSa User ID: 37256203 United States 04/17/2013 09:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bullshit on your doctor. Peroxide and alcohol mixed half and half in the cap. Pour into the affected ear, and let bubble for at least two to three minutes. Do this at least once a day, and it will be gone in a few days. Same treatment also works on just about any upper respiratory infection (including the cold). In those cases, pour into each ear for the prescribed time, and repeat until cured (usually a day or two). If you don't believe me, try it. You will be amazed. Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth. |
