My understanding of this thread is that Salt is admonishing us to be discerning. The Christian religion is so filled with heresy, and professing Christians are so lacking in discernment and are not digging into the Bible to determine what it is that God is saying. What matters is "What does God say about this?" and Salt is rightfully pointing out that these false teachers are not adhering to God's Words.
The subject is needed---so many people who are supposed to be searching God's Words are not, and they are being duped.
The videos show what these heretics are doing.... and seem to be needed by those who are truly seeking truth and discernment.

The people that heard the Holy Spirit speak did not understand because the message was about the end times. These very times, and they lacked the context to understand. What they heard was spoken down to the letter I each persons own dialect, not jibberish.

When you speak "in tongues" can anyone interpret what you are "saying"? Do you speak a language you don't know to people who are getting saved by your speaking in their language? Otherwise, I don't believe you. My daughter and some of her friends were in a pentecostal church (which I admonished here against---she finally had enough discernment to come out of it. They attended a 6-month class and before they could "graduate", had to "speak in tongues". I asked her to explain it to me. She said that she and her friends all faked "tongues" so they could "graduate." The pastor of her church did an obvious faking of it, also, in front of the congregation.
At Pentecost, the disciples who spoke in tongues were talking to people from many different dialects, or tongues, and the people who were hearing their language, which the disciples had not previously spoken, were able to hear their message.
I can understand the Holy Spirit using Christians to convey messages in languages that they have not previously used, when the Spirit wants to draw people, but most of the "tongues" noise is a lot of nonsense. You've determined the origin is from God.... but didn't explain how you would determine such a thing. Did anyone get saved as a result of your speaking gibberish?

It really irks me when I hear of some preacher/healer that's come to town and is holding a conference,.. but you have to pay heaps of money to go see them.

How much worse would it be in God's eyes for a preacher to be selling the gifts of God, rather than just having someone offer to buy them.

They make their money from people's gullibility.

yes, and why a pastor is to preach The Word, not his own meditations, and one phenomenon that I have witnessed over and over, is that when the Word is faithfully preached, each hearer hears a different sermon. It is the HS, not the pastor, speaking

I don't go to church, so no one has heard me speak. It's just me and God. The Spirit prays for me and knows what to pray for without my own bias interfering. It works as far as I can see.

there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for God to give man jibberish and glosalalia to edify or prophecy for the church. God is not a god of confusion. There is no secret divine language that makes people babble incoherently.

when the disciples were given the gifts of tongues, it was the ability to speak in foreign languages for the purpose of teaching the gospels and establishing the church.

tongues has passed away as there is no need for them anymore.
that is not to say that God would not give the gift of the ability to speak in a foreign language suddenly and miraculously for the purpose of ministering to someone.

even the scriptures describe that when the men left the room with their new gift that the people outside could hear them speak in their own languages.

I think there may be truth to this. My observations is that a lot of the big corporation churches are all into going to Myanmmar. It seems like every big church around is going there. Made my alarm bell go off for some reason. Why is it ONLY Myanmar?

Mankind always seems to have a different idea than God about who should guide them. God chose a judge with a gimp right arm, a man with a goad, and also a woman who was one of the best judges. Men most likely would not have chosen these to guide by looking at first glance.

Identity churches alighn very loosely with with pastor Murray on one topic only. Gods Word is written in parables for a reason as many aren't supposed to understand in fullness. Father in His Word even shows us that covert means are to be used at times when bringing about His will.

Being real sure and not relying on others to do homework when it comes to witnessing is a prudent and wise approach. That's all that needs be said.
