I don't think you would see it anyway. I don't think its that dim. As of the 26th it was still visible for me through my Celestron 114eq in light polluted suburbs. Just a guesstimate here but I'm thinking the magnitude is actually ~6-8 otherwise there's no chance I'd be able to see it at all. On the same morningsome pics using my DSLR with a 6 (iirc) second exposure. Haven't gotten around to stacking the though. I'm think about rigging up a DIY cam holder to take clearer pics through the scope. Last Edited by Lord Kinbote on 12/28/2013 04:14 PM |

Yes, it was between magnitude 4 and 5 at it's brightest [link to www.aerith.net] it should still be better than magnitude 7. |

Remember the one from 13th dec. where you claimed ISON was still intact and visible, but that people were looking in the wrong place? You really showed your ignorance there. Calling nasa & dr astro liars (again). You and your dopey usual followers where real smug about proving "them" wrong, or so you's thought. How'd that work out for ya? What about your last thread just the other day, "I Give You Asteroid 2013-TV135......"? Why don't you return there to answer questions to some of your assertions? |

Lord Kinbote User ID: 42362790 United States 12/31/2013 05:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know Lovejoy is getting g closer to the horizon every morning but isn't it also viewable in the evening now as well? It should still be relatively close to Hercules which is ~20° off the horizon around sun down and it should be getting higher in the Western sky every evening. Hopefully 2014 bring with it a naked eye comet we're due for one. Pannstarrs, Oukaimaden, and Siding Spring should all be visible through binoculars. The first two estimated to reach mag. 4-5 while the latter mag. 8. Given they have no idea how bright they will actually get one of those three could be naked eye and there's a good chance more will be discovered in 2014.
