I'm trying to go back and watch some of the early seasons of the show that I originally missed, but to quote one of those early episodes...

No but seriously, really looking forward to seeing the new episodes. Hopefully they finally go out on a better note than that last movie.

Good place to remind anyone who was a fan of David Lynch's 'Twin peaks' from the early 90's is coming back in 2016 as well.

Dancing midgets, giants, and trans-dimensional lodges of good and evil. I would think this would be up everyone's ally here.

Forgot to add that 'Twin Peaks' is where David Duchovny got his acting career started as non other than a cross dressing FBI agent.

I know this is an alientard website, but 'Twin Peaks' runs laps around the depth of even the most deep X-Files episodes. The "aliens" in Twin Peaks are much more thought-provoking than the little green men of X-Files though I liked both shows.

Project Blue Book, aliens sending signals into the forests from trans-dimensional lodges.

Most people who saw Twin Peaks first, agrees that X-Files owes quite a bit to it.

Truth, though I personally enjoyed xfiles more... I've heard many echo the sentiment.

If done properly, that's not a bad thing. Quality over quantity. Sherlock on the BBC is, I think, one of the best shows currently on TV, and it's only 3 episodes per season. Each episode is extremely well written and produced. There's a rich history from the X-files to draw from and make 6 high quality episodes. I'd rather they do that than spend 12 episodes or more just going through the motions.

Great, more seasons of CIA Wild Goose chase scripting. Want to bet that by the end of the new series you will have more questions than answers? More doubts than truths?

There are too many people researching the truth these days, better feed them the wrong path through a series they like.

If they are able to convince the people that governments did and do stuff like the Boston Bombings, Sandy Hook and 9/11 and that the UFO's are in fact Human technology stolen from the Nazis I might give the series a chance.

If instead they go after some Andromeda Aliens, lizards or other wild gooses I couldn't care less about it. I think people had enough of running in circles and never get any answers those first seasons.
