Maybe someone could call the most local newspaper and tell them about the readings and if they are in fact true could be a precursor to an earthquake.

I'd doubt it, that's an insane amount of water to lose. I'm very interested to hear if this data is accurate.

There are two 50 foot tunnels (total of 4) on each side of the dam to have water bypass the dam.

They have only been used twice. While building the dam to keep the work area dry and in 1983 during a flood. 1983 was also the highest level the lake had ever been.

Really doubtful that if this water was lost it was through the dam in any way shape or form.

I think this needs re-pinned.

You guys understand that it would be super easy to fake the data back to normal and tell people that there was some sort of error.

They (The gov's) would do EVERYTHING to avoid panic because of something that went viral.

I have a good adive for all of you guys:

It's the best to view what you see as a real possibility even if it appears to be "wrong".
ALWAYS observe what happens after a person points out something unusual.
If somebody comes out with some statement. What he says, how he says it how long it took to adress the problem ect.

This can give you a true idea if something seems believable or supsicious.

No statements so far whatsoever so for now I 100% believe what I saw with my own eyes. thats how it works.

Not to mention todays above 6 M earthquake on the atlantic ridge.

Things are moving, deal with it.

I live near Black Mtn. here in Henderson....and the mountain has been rumbling like crazy this morning.

Also I don't know how many of you followed the earthquake coverage but that earthquake in Caliente caused a decent sized crack on a ramp from the I95 to the I15. It wouldn't surprise me if something opened up under the lake.

Speaking of evaporation, highly unlikely since it's been moderately cool and today its completely overcast.

I read and study straight from the bible on a daily basis now.
I also listen daily to one or two full length sermons either on youtube or on podcast. Currently I am listening to podcasts of David Wilkerson's sermons and Phil Johnson sermons. Phil Johnson sure has been blessed with a clear and concise intellectual capabilities. I really enjoy listening to him.

The water could be seeping into an underground casim caused by the earthquakes. Like a house falling into a sink hole. There should be a whirl pool or at least huge bubbles when that happens though.

I cannot see this being a sensor issue as there must be many over a specific area that they take an average reading.
Anyone know how many lake level sensors are used to obtain the level data?
