With this and the recent advances in cybernetic prosthetics, we are getting closer to being able to build ourselves stronger and faster bodies that live longer and longer. Did you ever realize that in order to live forever we don't need to figure out how to stop aging completely. We only need to keep discovering new means of extending our life faster than our expected life span. Getting 20 more years every decade will make us immortal. |

As people drop dead earlier and earlier now, this sort of wishful thinking is thrown out to peddle 'hope' to a perishing species. Sort of like Obama's 'hope and change' - it's not what the voting cattle think... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69491176 This. And if anything they'll just fuck up the human genome even more and that will enhance the deterioration or entropy of the human species. Which...in the end is really what TPTB wants any way. Wow, why don't you tell us how you really feel. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 69471164 United States 06/15/2015 05:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "Inside the nucleus of a cell, our genes are arranged along twisted, double-stranded molecules of DNA called chromosomes. At the ends of the chromosomes are stretches of DNA called telomeres, which protect our genetic data, make it possible for cells to divide, and hold some secrets to how we age and get cancer. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69154831 Telomeres have been compared with the plastic tips on shoelaces, because they keep chromosome ends from fraying and sticking to each other, which would destroy or scramble an organism's genetic information. Yet, each time a cell divides, the telomeres get shorter. When they get too short, the cell can no longer divide; it becomes inactive or "senescent" or it dies. This shortening process is associated with aging, cancer, and a higher risk of death." [link to learn.genetics.utah.edu] Wonderful. While they are planning on killing 90% of you, they are telling you about living to be 200... LOL |

What you don't realize is that transhumanism as you see it, achieved via technology, will only deepen our slavery. We are non-physical beings, it is hard-enough to awaken to that fact even while being in this physical vessel/body (trapped)...with another added layer, it would be even so much more difficult to to free ourselves. And seeing what terrible state the world is in, thanks to our 'elites', and the fact that the same elites are pushing transhumanism, you can be sure it's nothing that would benefit us. The purpose would be to control us even more. Last Edited by Ashen on 06/15/2015 06:17 AM |

Your body can be fixed with artificially grown replacement organs and prosthetics that are outwardly indistinguishable from the real deal, but provide more strength, dexterity and speed than the organic part. Your mind has been backed up to a storage array and can be restored later. |

GUAM USA User ID: 43153408 Guam 06/15/2015 06:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In the year 1910, we imagined that the year 2000 would be filled with airships and multi-armed robotic helpers. 1950's: Plates would be dissolved instead of washed. Home furnishing would all be made of washable synthetics, so you could hose them down any time you wanted to clean house. Discarded rayon underpants would be converted into candy. 1975: Our space dreams were still quite optimistic in the late 70s, when NASA predicted we might have space colonies by the year 2000. The ring-shaped "Taurus" was envisioned as a colony that could house 10,000 people for the purpose of mining ore from the moon. At least we're inching closer to mining materials from space.
