I like dumplings cooked as biscuits on the top. Gummy, flour-balls or pasty noodles don't appeal to me, though some love them.

I make homemade noodles and boil them separately for soup.
and I make drop biscuits for dumplings. two very different recipes.

Chicken and rice noodles

We call them doughboys here in NZ. A good kiwi feed. Boil up (generally pork bones or brisket, potatoes and watercress), with doughboys, can't beat it!

I make both my dumplings and Noodles homemade from scratch so it doesn't matter to me, I like them both!!

Mom taught us girls to make our own noodles, dumplings, and biscuits for biscuits and gravy from scratch. Pretty much everything is homemade when you live on a farm and have access to do it the right way, why not do it right instead of buying all that store bought crap.

And really, its not that much more time consuming to just get the ingredients out of the pantry......One thing I thought would be a waste of money was the Kitchen aid mixer...That thing is awesome.

I don't like biscuit dough dumplings.

I like the pastry dough type dumplings. They're easier to either make or you can buy Anne's Dumplings.

I like them. They're frozen and you just break them apart and drop them into the broth as its boiling.

Google Anne's Dumplings see if they have them where you live or look for something similar.

I would like some dumplings, please. My mom used to make them and boy were they good.

So much better for us to make from scratch. Tastes better and have a little more control over what's in it. Those prepackaged foods really make me 'nuh-vuss'.

If dumplings are made properly, they are great; much better than noodles.
