Anonymous Coward User ID: 76082741 Finland 04/14/2018 02:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ever get that feEling some registered member is posting just a wee bit too much? Quoting: Baldrick Reading an interesting thread an the same poster keeps popping up with inane comments? Does a registered member have over 17000 posts in three months? Do they just generally post to seemingly get another glp member to quote their post? Is it a cry for help? I don't know but if you check my stats, and I am on here every day, taking in information, reading, absorbing, learning, I have hit nowhere near the post figures in 10 years.... So.... GLP has kindly provided a ignore feature. 1st, you must be a registered member, paying or not. Secondly, the poster must be a registered member as well. I can report the ignore function has enhanced my experience on glp, as I have with one click eliminated a great proportion of drivel. AC are great and from time to time an AC will post something g of significant interest. As I do not have an idetic memory I do not remember AC user ID. But for the register member that posts shit 24/7, I highly recommend deploying the ignore feature. Thank you GLP for enhancing the user experience. |

Baldrick (OP) User ID: 75829055 Australia 04/14/2018 03:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All that needs doing is look at the blue options under the avatar and click ignore. Try it. Use me as an example if you wish. What will happen is that any thread I post will come up on the front page as thread hidden. You can click on it and thread will come up. If I make a post in a thread and I am on ignore it will come up as post hidden. There is the option of clicking on the icon if curiosity gets the best of you. But overall, an extremely useful feature. It may actually assist those whose need to make excessive posts. Blackadder: Baldrick, how did you manage to find a turnip that cost £400 000? Baldrick: Well, I had to haggle. |

As far as the percentage, I am just one registered member so the % might be a bit low. I just thought I'd share that the ignore feature is a great feature of GLP. I'm just pointing out a forum feature... A feature if you're a member, which I'm not. I don't financially support pedophiles, that would make me complicit. Real talk. |

Baldrick (OP) User ID: 75829055 Australia 04/14/2018 03:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look under my handle and you will see the words IGNORE. Click that and you won't see any of my posts or threads apart from "Thread hidden" or if in a thread "post hidden" I don't do 17000 posts in three months so you might not see the full potential of the feature. But if you use the feature on a poster with an unusually high amount of posts the ignore feature is gold. Blackadder: Baldrick, how did you manage to find a turnip that cost £400 000? Baldrick (OP) User ID: 75829055 Australia 04/14/2018 03:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The thing is, you could choose 1 member, or 2,...depending on your requiremsnts, the overall percentages would have an insignificant impact on how the forum functions... I just think it is a great feature and as it is a feature that encourages user enhancement I can't see a downside.
