We can speculate. He has mentioned "pole shift". Such an event, whether it be caused by a Planet X passage, Galactic Plane, sun magnetic field adjustment, or some other "factor" would effectively wipe out most of humanity, most wildlife, and throw civilization back to the stone age. If this scenario was shared with an individual who had never seriously contemplated such a thing in a fashion that was authoritative, detailed and indisputable - within the context of a security clearance with death as the penalty for breach, --- yea, I could see losing my cookies.

He has said his "mission" was the preservation of the human race - nothing more, nothing less. Such a mission no matter how well funded could not possibly guarantee the survival of more than a few million at the MOST. To achieve that, it is arguable the ends REALLY DO justify the means. Certainly survivors would have to be "selected" - in a way that did not inform and alarm the "masses" - for there is no scenario where they could handle this information without chaos. That is why the movie "Deep Impact" was beyond LUDICROUS. No way would the population cooperate with a lottery or any other public witness-able selection process.
