I'd call it the Nostradamus Effect...but you're absolutely right. Nancy and her followers do the same thing...and we can almost guarantee that Max will do it after Clif's March 2nd doomsday prediction fails. He's done it before so there's no reason to suspect that this time will be any different.

You're right, I had that wrong.

The "Jeane Dixon" method is making a lot of specific predictions hoping to get a few hits.

Clif says the derivative meltdown will occur between March 2nd and March 15th. If that happens, they will likely shut down huge sections of the internet - including more than likely this forum.

Any reason to believe this is not just more clif bullshit spread by a liar, troll and asshole? Of course not, lying, trolling and assholery is what you do, melfy.

What a surprise - Clif is trying to add more wiggle room by saying it will happen between March 2nd and the 15th instead of on the 2nd. As March 15th approaches with no sign of his predicted doom, he'll come up with another date and you'll buy it.

Okay...should we ban Max? And, if so, when? Just after March 2nd? Or after March 15th? I'm leaning towards the 15th to give him the benefit of the doubt. But it the Internet is still functioning and millions of people haven't died from some calamity, I say the ban hammer should fall so we can put an end to his shilling ways.

I'm not making this stuff up. THOUSANDS of people are listening to Clif on his recent broadcasts, and I've encountered people during my train commute who've actually heard of him, (and no - NOT from me) his work, and some of his predictions.

His popularity seems to be GROWING outside of GLP - which took a hit (here at GLP) almost entirely thanks to Phen (Thanks Phen!) and her aimless rant.

YOU are the debunkers - whose "JOB" it is to counter this kind of trend.

I'm actually ASSISTING you (ironically) by keeping you informed - even though I'm a Clif supporter.

But I never CALLED for anyone's banning! I only "celebrated" when it happened - after the fact. And I'm also REFORMED and have apologized for that behavior. Finally, it's been a LONG TIME since I celebrated a banning. The statute of limitations has surely run!

Well - Clif says that the Sun is a COMET, and that the Earth and all the planets are trailing behind it (similar to Nancy's Planet X complex.) Our "orbit" around the Sun is actually a spiraling orbit inside the perimeter "corona" of it's tail. We don't actually go "around" the Sun itself at all - NOTHING DOES. Makes a TON of sense to me, as according to the traditional model, the earth would be in the "vanguard" of the solar system's orbit around the galaxy half the year, where it could be expected to encounter galactic debris at high speed. But - if the Sun itself is the permanent head of a huge comet, it would effectively bulldoze or shovel anything in front of it, leaving "clean" space for the planets it is the caretaker of.

The only question, is why NASA has been LYING to us about the true nature of the solar system???

The question is - why do you believe what Clif says about the solar system when it has been proven to be wrong? If you believe Clif and think NASA is lying - present your evidence. I'm willing to bet you won't...or you'll refer everyone to Clif's bullshit.

I find it amazing that you'd willingly waste two hours of your time listening to that crap. As I also find it amazing that you waste money on that ilk.

March 2nd is THIS FRIDAY. By March 10th, we tip into PERMANENT "release language". Normally, Clif says, that the intensity or "volume" of the release language periods is around 100. He says, however, that by June, it will be around 50,000!!!

So things will just go from bad, to worse, to HORRIFIC without any letup for the foreseeable future.

Obviously there are many implications - loss of power, loss of the internet, distribution system collapse, war, nuclear plant failures, loss of social cohesion ... perhaps ALL of the above. Sounds like Mad Max - which is not an "event" but a devolution, a "process" that plays itself out.

HOPEFULLY it's all "nonsense" and we can all laugh about it come April 1st.

But, not looking good at all ...

April 1st is when **I** will admit Clif is WRONG if nothing has happened by then. I had stated that back when I first mentioned the March 2nd date, and all that follows it.

That is the silliest bunch of bullshit I've seen in quite a while...easily disproven by even the most mundane observations. But we couldn't expect Max to know anything about that.
