Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24576933 It seems you have to be very social to make these things work. To some people, this is very difficult. I just can't go up to people I don't know and talk, it's just not me. I think many are like that on GLP. Yeah me too. However, if you can write there are writing jobs online. I did it for a while in-between jobs. You won't get rich but you can take in some extra cash and learn interesting things. My favorite is interactmedia.com. Check it out! Also I recommend window washing. My brother-in-law did this in his free time on weekends. Bought a magnetic sign for the side of his car, a couple of squeegees and he was set! Finally, funniest case of greedy kid ever. When my husband was a tiny boy he would go to the local market (a couple of blocks from his house) and offer to open doors for people. This was mid-60s so automatic door openers were based on a mat you stepped on. He would step on the mat for you, for a nickel! It was so cute people gladly gave him the nickel. |

Rich moms where I live are mostly employed and very busy. They want their kid to have "the best party ever" but it's really stressful and time-consuming. Be a mother's helper or come up with creative party ideas. Art projects & scavenger hunts are big. |

The Feline Funkadelic User ID: 1506838 United States 09/30/2012 10:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you're talented (or even mildly creative), you can make a lot of money going to craft shows, flea markets, and selling your wares to local stores. My boyfriend and I live basically paycheck to paycheck since I got laid off. I "work" here and there, but it's not steady, and his business is hit or miss. We know what it's like to scrape by and rack our brains looking for ways to cultivate some extra income to at least be stable (not looking to be millionaires, ya know?) I'm a sculptor, and I never thought of selling my pieces because it was just that -- art for me and those close to me. Now that lots of people have seen my stuff, I get offers and commissioned work when I'm not looking for it. Even doing something as small as making Christmas ornaments (people eat that shit up, especially the hoity-toity craft show goers) can turn into some extra cash. Working small, now I have those interested in full-size pieces at great selling prices. Sure, you have to put out some money to get supplies, but make sure you price your items right and you can profit. Let your creative juices flow, make bird houses with old metal, or windchimes with flatware. The possibilities are endless, and there's always going to be someone who's interested in buying. Cheers! I've stashed away over $75,000 this year that the IRS doesn't know about and can't touch if they do. I plan to spend everything I have before it has lost any more value.. By December. If you can make it through the first quarter of 2013, the world isn't going to be the same, money will have little or NO value at all. The best plan, is for a future without money. Hang on, and prepare. |

However, when i was a teenager i would also cut the grass for extra money. When winter would come i would shovel the snow as well. One other thing is my sister used to live next to a golf course. I would walk along the side of the fence on the property where she lived collecting golf balls. I would then clean them up, walk to the road where the cart path would cross to the other side and sell them to people playing for $5 per dozen. |

Roll in dough and deep fry into snapping turtle balls. Use some potato or French fries as filler if need be to stretch the supplies out. Offer different sauces on the side for dipping (barbecue, hot sauce, ketchup, etc.) and maybe skewer them on a stick and sell them as kabobs. Paint some awesome images of alligator snapping turtles on the side of your truck or cart or stand and you will make a killing as the only snapping turtle vendor at the fair or swap meet! |

The women of previous generations were much better entrepreneurs. :) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 317323g'head say it. im an old fart but im a smart one. with age comes wisom & that has its perks. LOL I wasn't really thinking along those lines, but that was pretty funny. Actually I really admire your tenacity and wisdom with regard to entrepreneurship. I am the only person in my family who has been corporate my whole life (aside from my pressure-washing business on the side). The rest of my family are all small business owners. I would have left this job a long time ago, but I just kept making more and more and with the benefits and a family, it wouldn't be good for me to leave. i understand 100% its not for everybody. but we as a whole here/GLP have so many smart individuals and theyre jobless, or in the debt hole - they just need a push in the right direction - not off a cliff. after working for the feds for most of my life ive held side businesses and supplemented myself. from real estate to restaurant - even selling cocks. yes i sold dildos - well drew did - as a one time sale thing to prove a point. it started out as a joke. our friend had this home based business doing it. pvt parties etc. the girl was making 1500-2500 a night. no fuckin joke. but her parties were lame....and i tried to point out things to her. believe it or not, she wasnt as risque' as i am. so....i made her a bet that 'we' could drop a 5000 sale in one night. (that would be 90% commission bc of the amount) not in a week, not in a weekend but one night. drew became an independent consultant. the deal was with her....since we had no contacts she would give us the next party (her contacts) and we would give her 10% - why only 10%? bc we did the work and SHE would benefit in using our skits/tactics to boost her own sales......i made cdz, i came up with hilarious trivia/games....i took the husbands, drew took the wives - and we fuckin sold 5300 plus. you drew me out. Normally I don't tell anyone but I was toying with the idea of cocksickles (variant on popsicles). Hard candy set up in a mould. You could do colors naturally and I thought it would be a crazy gag item. People pay money for gags. There was a company who got Sees candy to make boxed candy for them but the box said " Motherfuckers" on it don't remember if the other word was chocolates or candy. They didn't pay their last bill to Sees which I am told was $30,000. But they had a good run with it. Government is a body largely ungoverned. |
