(WASN'T SUPPOSE TO RISE TILL JAN 24!!!) Follows Greenland and Norway! I believe what could be happening is that the actual position of the Earth in relationship to the Sun, meaning, the distance between the two, is slightly changing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1236320See, right now, the Earth is at Perihelion to the Sun. The Earth reached Perihelion, around January 3rd or 4th of 2011. This is the Earth's closest approach (in distance) to the Sun. Now, if there are extreme Northern Latitude countries that are seeing sunlight earlier-than-usual, this would tell me that the Earth is getting even closer, just a little bit, to the Sun, during the Perihelion Stage. Why? Something is very wrong with the orbit of the Earth around the Sun. Like a slingshot, as the Earth inches closer in distance to the Sun, than normal, the Earth is speeding up it's movement around the Sun, while at Perihelion, but also increasing it's angular momentum around the Sun, giving the 'sling shot effect' more power. In essence, at Aphelion, around July 3rd, 4th of 2011, the Earth will be at a greater distance from the Sun, and it will prove to be a COOLER-THAN-USUAL SUMMER!!! This is what I see happening. What is causing the Sun to rise, earlier-than-usual in extreme Northern Latitude countries? Either the Earth and Sun are now closer together at Perihelion, in distance; The tilt angle of the Earth has changed to become lesser, smaller than 23.5 degrees, or there is occurring a drastic change in the upper atmosphere of the Earth to where it's becoming colder, alot colder, and it's developing a whole lot of ice crystals. These crystals could be reflecting sunlight back onto the Earth's surface, to make it APPEAR that sunlight is coming earlier-than-expected, when really, it's an upper atmosphere problem, that could be caused by the Earth going into a deep cold. This could be caused if the Earth is moving away from the Sun right now, at Perihelion, increasing the distance between the Sun and the Earth, because of some kind of angular momentum anamoly. It's true though, most Northern Hemispheric Countries are experiencing colder-than-usual temperatures during this winter of 2010-2011. Perhaps the NASA Guy, Mike, was right! If the Sun is losing mass, that means the Sun is also losing gravity, as mass and gravity are directly proportionate. If this be true, this is the scenario where the NASA Guy talks about increasingly deeper and longer winters, with shorter, much hotter summers. Either way, we're in deep trouble. Crops are going to fail and the weather is going to be whacked out. You know the rest of the story from here... It'll be interesting to see what happens, and which of my above-stated scenarios is the case. Will have to wait and see. Peace and Blessings. Please come back AC and tell us how you arrived at this, a timetable and what we can expect. *Respect* |

(WASN'T SUPPOSE TO RISE TILL JAN 24!!!) Follows Greenland and Norway! The sun is right where it should be in the sky. Thread: Come see live video of the sun (and Saturn until sunrise)! 1-23-11 At the suggestion of another poster, slewing the telescope ahead to coordinates for the sun's predicted position 24 or 48 hours later caused the sun to leave the field of view entirely. This means that not only has our planet not moved in such a way as to change the apparent position of the sun, but our perihelion point has not gotten closer to the sun to make it appear so large that it covers the area of the sky that it should be in two days later as well. There is certainly nothing wrong with the sun's true location in the sky, and separate tests of the north celestial pole also show that nothing is wrong with the tilt of the earth to within about an arcsecond. That leaves localized phenomenon as the only possible explanation. The premature sunrises seen in some polar locations can be attributed to abnormally large amounts of atmospheric refraction, typically due to large inversion layers in the atmosphere that can sometimes be found near polar locations. The conditions that cause this may be becoming more common than they have been in recent history. |

Here it the pic from Jan 21, at 15:50 [link to picasaweb.google.com] The picture before shows the same date and time in 2008. Before that come a number of older comparisons. The 1st three pics are the nicest though...three sunsets on the same date. Click view all, then go to it. |

(WASN'T SUPPOSE TO RISE TILL JAN 24!!!) Follows Greenland and Norway! Here in North of the SFbay we have not had our famous Frisco summers (Cool foggy in the city and hot all around the bay). We have had no summer in the last 4 year and this year we have had some short but seriously hot days followed by cold or rainy days.. RAIN in JUNE /JULY?! One day is hot but the next day temperatures drop as much as 20degrees or we get rain.In my 23years living in the SFBAY, i cannot recall a year were we did not have a summer and an Indian summer closing to the summer season. Yet the last 4years we have not.. We all need to get together and seriously do whatever it takes to our government to disclose the truth about what is coming our way and which will change our way of life and world forever.
