Can you handle the truth: Radioactive Fukushima Plutonium And Strontium Bombarding US West Coast Since March 18th
Read on and hopefully you will get off your duffs and call Congressional Rep, Senators, the White House, EPA, local gov't, governors and tell them you are sick of the lies and half-truths! Our gov't needs to pressure Japan to let us in to entomb the plants. Our gov't needs to give up the straight scoop and tell us what areas have been most widely affected and direct to what food supplies (such as milk, water, etc.) are safe and which to avoid and to outline supplements which will help block uptake of the various radioactive isotopes -- as outlined by Emerald Eyes and much validated by the Chernobyl approach.

Is plutonium & Strontium heavier than iodine-131? has it been deposited by rains in the West coast and is the central and east parts of the country safer? Should we avoid all foods from the West Coast? Should we start a mini-evacuation from the western states to safer areas in the mid and eastern part of the U.S.? We can save lives if we only care and take action.

Radioactive Fukushima Plutonium And Strontium Bombarding US West Coast Since March 18th

...

* RADnet began monitoring for Plutonium from Day 1
* Plutonium was found from Alaska. to San Francisco California. and down into Guam from 03/18/2011
* Strontium was detected in the United States on 03/18/2011
* Isotopes found not released in public reports Plutonium, Strontium and Cesium
* What do the negative values mean in the results column?
...

Plutonium Results

Update 12:01 EST April, 22nd 2011

Here are the results for Plutonium.

All results were detected by actinides extraction chromatography as part of either the RadNet Radiation Network Alert or the Fukushima deployables.

To fit the data on the web page I have moved some redundant columns .

I removed the half-life column which the EPA results report as 24131 years for Plutonium-239 and for 87.75 years for Plutonium-238.

I have also removed the unit column as all amounts reported are pCi/m3 or picocuries per cubic meter......

Guys, chill

There has been loads of plutonium in the air since the good old days of atmospheric testing. The USA put at least 4000kg in the air, and the Russians put up least that much. You can already pick it up all over the place. This is a drop in the bucket compared to whats already been released.

Sorry, but I won't chill when this stuff is continually being brought over to the USA minute by minute. It is cumulative, it is dangerous and you are either naive or a shill to think otherwise. You ready to give your kids milk laced with plutonium? I doubt it.

I think plutonium can only be in the air if the reactors melted down already before March 11.

WHY? The EPA says it is on the west coast now.

As for the previous poster about the West Coast should have been evac'd - I think it should be definitely considered. My only question is will the plutonium and strontium, the more dangerous isotopes deposit in the west (are they heavier) or will they continue to migrate across the U.S.? Additionally, if the people need evac'd, then all food coming out of there should be quarantined/destroyed.

At present, I feel for the Japanese people, then the West Coast of the U.S. but am wondering how bad it really is or could get for the rest of the country and Northern Hemispshere.

California is a real shithole... I would be cool with it falling in the ocean,, or being cleaned out by radiation.. nothing but a herd of attitude ridden gang bangers living there...

Children already eat plutonium in milk as it is. However being a vegetarian will limit your exposure by at least an order of magnitude.

If you are so worried about a little plutonium and cesium, build a fallout shelter, people have been suggesting that since the 50's and look what good it did them. You have already been nuked more then a few times so get with the program, and be happy you don't live where the real death and misery is.

I can't be happy when people are suffering - be it US or Japan. These reactors need entombed and the world community needs to take over and get the job done to save lives!

That's not correct. By the terabequerels released, this is exponentially larger by than all nuclear bombs and tests combined in history. I'll also point out this is in addition to those prior legacies and it's still continuing. Do you understand what ton load is?

There are many parts of the US hit harder than Pacific West Coast states. It depends on rain, geography, when and what's in it. Countries across the Atlantic will see it too. It's aerosolized along with beta contaminates. If your state hasn't found it - they aren't testing. They should test. Everyone who does finds it. Massachusetts, Colorado has more than SF in some categories some days. If California and Hawaii have cesium and iodine in milk - Wisconsin does too and Texas cattle also. Cesium is in French milk across the Atlantic. They'll get plutonium too.
